Nice video. I have also noticed that you go to Dutch fork Lake for carp. Are there any big carp there like 20 pounders or more? thanks
@@Tarcini I haven’t caught anything of any size. Probably the biggest is about 5 lbs. it seems to be overloaded with little ones.

What kind of planer boards do you use
I use B-Kat planer boards. They work well for slow trolling.

Have you tried shad? The lake is full of them. A castnet will produce quite a bit of bait for you, especially from a boat like that, which makes it easy to throw while standing. I mostly bank fish and use European methods while fishing for channel catfish, but I have caught plenty of channel catfish from that lake while using shad, carp meat, sunfish, and creekchubs as bait. This is my home lake (6 minute drive) and produces plenty of nice channel catfish on live or cut-bait and soured pack bait. 😉
Hey DWeezy. Yes I have used shad. I have fished there before and can usually net some while trolling along fishing. Didn’t see any this day. I was short on time so I didn’t try to go net some before starting to fish. I am on the catfish forum. Handle is “cspot”.
@whytetalesoutdoors That's funny. I didn't know it was you. Yeah, sometimes the shad spread out, and they're not as easy to get. If you try the rip-rap areas around the lake for bait, they usually hold some nice green sunfish. I'll see you over on C1. Have a good day.

Always enjoy your videos from my home lake, Seneca. We did pretty good last Sunday in 12-16 ft of water including a nice 15 lb blue southeast of the marina. Always a good day when you get to spend it with family!
For sure. Seneca is one of my favorite lakes. Hope to possibly live there when I retire.
20lb and 35" is a nice blue for Seneca! Maybe I'll get ahold of it this weekend! Last weekend we found mostly channel cats.

@@whytetalesoutdoors we landed a 23.5 lb a couple weeks ago and lost another a little bigger. The bite has been really hot the last couple of weeks.

Yes. I followed what Chunk Cats Fishing did. Other than he gets fancy with all the different colors. I just taped off some of the rod and then painted it yellow. My main camera is a GoPro hero 11 that I use for filming the rods for the takedown. I just got an insta360 x4 that I have on the back for filming the action. I really like it because in editing you can move what you are looking at. Downside is my old computer struggles to edit the video. I use the dji wireless mic for both.
I like the Concept of the " BOSS BAIT CIRCLE HOOKS, Because they allow more of the worm to lay horizontal.

My Grandparents Owned a Lot in Echo Point and I grew up Fishing this Lake. Haven't been There since around 2000, but will be returning with My 5 Year Old this coming Weekend. Anyhow, all Im able to get currently is Frozen Skip Jack and I was wondering if it will Work out there? Will the fact They've been frozen turn Them Off?
Not as good as fresh but still will work.
