I'm incredibly biased as I am one of triplets myself. Until we were working and supporting ourselves, any parties that my parents organized were shared parties for the three of us. Once we joined the workforce, if we wanted to have a celebration with friends, it was up to us to organize and pay for it. Now I really appreciate having two brothers to share my birthday with.

I'd have gave them 3 options and told them they had to choose between one big party for all of them, 3 smaller parties but no one has a party on their actual birthday as I'm not having 2 have a tantrum claiming I have favourites or 3 they don't have a party at all and I take all 3 out for a meal at a restaurant I choose and I get to choose who gets invited

1000 Dollar is already a generous amount to spend on a birthday. Get them some jobs and then show them some bills, as a general example, to give them a reference of at least a fraction of work it takes to earn that money. Kids should be taught finances, while growing up, I wish I had been. At least just the basics, it can give a good foundation and correlation between work time and money.

OP'Ss husband was a first class rascal for opening his pants and then saying he doesn't want a child when the girl in question got pregnant. My older sister used to make such comments until I snapped and pointed out I didn’t see the need to go out drinking and partying at 10-18 years of age, I went to school worked hard at getting good grades wasn’t constantly getting I trouble with the law trying to fit in, I spent my teen years with maybe 3 friends my age and we were all out casts and bullied by just about everyone so if she wanted to be bullied and ignored by our parents and others then be my guest she can take over the spot as golden child, our elders spoiled me because I didn’t lie to them Or ask them for money all the time, we didn’t talk for a few months after that muy I guess what I said stuck with her because she talked to our family and friends and they told her the truth that yes I was still being bullied just not as physically anymore since I started to react back with violence, and that I hardly asked for anything so that’s why they gave me money or spoiled me because according to them I earned it by behaving, despite how I was treated. So I can at least say Ku sis has learned her lesson. I hope yours matures enough to understand that one day
