Serious Sam 2 will always be a part of my childhood core memories. The graphics improved in SS3, SS4. but SS2 really hits different.

I grew up playing serious sam 2 and was really disapointed when I found out the rest of the franchise wasnt like the 2.
I think that neither Croteam is considering Serious Sam 2 as the second videogame of this franchise. The Second Encounter is better under all points of view.

@@simonhugo4893 I'm almost 60 years old and was really late into playing computer games - it wasn't till Serious Sam 2 came out that I even had a computer capable of playong games! So Serious Sam 2 was all I knew in the series. I only played the others through Serious Sam Fusion so never played them as originals. Like you I really liked Serious Sam 2 and was a bit disappointed with the other games in the series however there are some very fun levels in the other games too. But I agree - nothing was as creative and imaginative as Serious Sam 2.

I believe it is from an fan expansion exclusive to the gold edition called dark island.
Back in my childhood Serious Sam and Painkiller were my 2 favourite shooter games. They f.ed up Painkiller but Serious Sam is hanging there. The studio is 10 years behind in technology but gameplay is still great.
I should check out on Painkiller and see if it's worth making an evolution for, ty for letting me know.

The original Splinter Cell franchise! Before Splinter Cell was even a thing. It was the medieval dark fantasy version of it! Thief is criminally underrated. So sad we only got 4 games. Well I guess it’s better than getting 1 or 2 games only.

@phillipbernard2707 people consider it a true crime because essentially it is. True Crime Hong Kong and sleeping dogs have near identical stories and gameplay. They polished the graphics and game models but it's still a true crime game

I remember I had the 2nd one. Had a game breaking bug like after the second mission. It would always crash. And the frame drops were horrendous. Never even got to play the damn game to this day 😢. True crime streets of LA was incredible I'm sure the NY one would have been. Downloading sleeping dogs haven't played it yet.
