R-Delta Sim Controls
Philippines
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 13 มี.ค. 2023
We design and develop sim-gaming controllers and we explore ways of fabricating them. In the process, we learn from our mistakes. We're hoping to help people learn from our experience as we have learned from many other tubers as well.
Trying to stay in the race.
Learning to drive in a race in ACC. It's an entirely different drive when you're not alone. Being very careful not to collide, getting the pace and not having the road all for yourself is totally different from practicing alone.

Ride to the end (Pushing the damage model 🤣). Midnight Run at the ACC Nordschleife
มุมมอง 155วันที่ผ่านมา
ACC drives differently from AC so I thought I'd do a midnight run at the Nordschleife and pushed the damage model while I was at it 🤣. Surprisingly, the wheel actually deflected as the wheels were dis-aligned after several collisions. But check out the WLED lights driven by the #RDLights, they're just awesome.

SIM RIG WLED DYNAMIC AMBIENT LIGHT PROGRAM AND SETUP TUTORIAL
มุมมอง 5212 หลายเดือนก่อน
Here's an overview of the app and setup I'm working on to give you that realistic ambient lighting. I've looked around for something like this but the're either very expensive or just not exactly what I want to achieve. So I decided to make my own app to get it working to my liking. Here's a link to my patreon page: patreon.com/rdeltasimmaker where I'll be releasing the app in a couple of weeks...
DYNAMIC LIGHT USING WLED WITH LOW-LATENCY AND HIGH LUMENS FOR YOUR SIMRIG
มุมมอง 992 หลายเดือนก่อน
Back to my dynamic lighting project. I've made good progress in reducing latency to near real-time. You can see the slightest light changes even at high speeds. I know there are existing solutions out there, but they don't compare in terms of cost and flexibility.

We're finally able to get the ECM Transmit lamp working on DCS. Thanks to David Malmstrom who contributed the code to get the ECM lamp working with DCS-BIOS.
WLED DYNAMIC/AMBIENT LIGHTING FOR MY SIMRIG
มุมมอง 2072 หลายเดือนก่อน
I've been working an alternative Dynamic/Ambient lighting for my simrig. It's a much cheaper and simpler alternative to Philips Hue using WLED Light strips. I wrote a simple app with a UI that let's you set the region of the screen you want to bounce off to your ambient lighting. I'll be showing some videos later on how the UI is like. I've been looking for something like this and couldn't find...

wow! u are driving very well. i play the game too but on a very shitty wheel with no ffb or feed back so its really difficult to drive accurately, but u are driving so well! keep it up
Hey thank you! I tried driving with real people last Sunday and on a new track and I was 2 laps behind 🤣. Gotta practice some more.😆
@@r-deltasims it takes some time i guess haha but you will get better for sure. im not really sure about wheels with ffb and all but i guess its just in observing the feedback from the wheel or something like that. anyways have a good day my friend! i will be actively following you
@ thank you! Will be posting more of my practice until I get better.
W-Setup💪 Thought you were in a real car for a sec, lol.
Yeah, that’s the fun part 😊
what is the black surface finish you used here? it looks perfect
I’m using a coat of flat black PU Paint and another coat of satin black PU Paint both sprayed from a distance over 30cm to produce this texture.
@@r-deltasims PU is that polyurethane? what brand. it looks so cool
@ yes that’s right. Can be any brand. It’s the spraying distance and the combination of Flat and Satin black that gives that texture.
@ excellent thanks for the help
Govee? Just hooked mine up last week!
I’m actually using a WLED setup. It’s quite cheaper than Govee.
could you share your setup and test video? I'd really like to see if my setup is already at par with the popular ones.
Very nice. I just finished building my MISC Panel. DCS -BIOS. I love how there are several different ways to accomplish this. Very interesting.
Thanks for sharing this system! Can't wait to try it when I get a sim
That PVC frame was a nice reminder, it can be shaped as well so if I can figure a trolley, I may have solved a moving light problem, thanks for putting these idea out. I may not be building s simulator, the build techniques have been very helpful.
i allways thought about something like this as a kind of "heat from the sun" simutalion , when drivin in vr. When i drive out of the shaddow and the sun shines from the left, i would switch a lightbulb on the left side on, just to give a light warm feeling like the sunrays would in real life. maybe with this app i can do it someday^^
wow, that could really be a thing and could even be simpler to build if there's enough interest in this. An arduino with a bridge that will drive 2 lamps can surely do that.
@@r-deltasims i thought of 3 lamps (left front right), driven by an arduino which dimms or switches the lights, so you would feel the sunray even if you drive/fly a long curve...something like that. The sun needs to be set as a source/point or so. Well im just updating my rig right now, maybe i find a solution for this over the time^^
Interesting concept. I’ve never heard it mentioned before.
Very cool. Any chance of getting that code?
which exactly would you need? I share my files at Patreon.com/@RDeltaSimMaker if you want. You should also check the recent testing we did with the ECM transmit lamp firing up.
The music is annoying. You don’t need it.
@@SimPilot-dl8zy thanks for the feedback. I’ll keep that in mind next time 👍🏻
That’s gotta be cancerous to play with why the fuck wound you do that 😂
im gonna go broke
this is really cool
Thank you!
Well described and demonstrated, thanks.
Hey! Thank you Brad
Maganda gawa mo bro!!❤
Uy! Salamat!
Thanks for posting, however PLEASE don't do music. Can barely hear you due to the loud, distracting music.
Thanks for the feedback. Will certainly look into monitoring the overall audio. I'm also practicing how I can improve my speaking voice while recording.
@@r-deltasims Please do make more. Your project was inspiring!
Oh, thank you! That's good to know. I'm trying my best to integrate the vlog tasks into my workflow without slowing down the process. It's not easy hahaha
I learned a couple of things from this, thanks for making the video.
Hey! Thank you. Let me know if you need help in whatever you’re doing.
@@r-deltasims I am still planning, but going to make a lighting panel for my aquariums. Painting the acrylic and using the Diode laser was not something I had seen or thought of. it looks sharp.
@@BradTimm yeah just take note that Diode lasers will not cut white or clear acrylic. But yes, the diode laser can make sharper engraving/etching.
The last time I was in an f-16 cockpit, I seem to remember there being a lot of pull-to-unlock toggle switches, are you going to be making sure those are int the right places? Also, don't be surprised if the IFF does not work in the OFF position, that's is as-designed.
Hey thank you @AlanW, Yeah, I've seen those pull-to-unlock toggle switches but they're quite expensive. I could do that probably for custom orders. Thanks for the suggestion though.
Amazing ,were are you based?
Hello and thank you, we are based in the Philippines 😀
