Is this the best we can do? Wasted resources creating an 'evidence-base' for the bleeding obvious. Forget findings around 'priority areas' - there are NO effective services or programs for people with PD or any other SMI which helps them recover. Anyone with any experience in the area can tell you this. No need for a peer-reviewed paper. Carers of 'PD people' suffer greater health burdens with greater emotional involvement? is this really a finding? I'd like to read a critical discourse analysis on the term 'over-involvement'. Carers who are NOT emotionally and practically engaged with their 'PD person' are likely on the sociopathy spectrum (or an enlightened being working from another dimension) but that's not really the answer is it? The scenario of the woman whose friend doesn't turn up to the cinema is just insulting to the kind of crises many of us are managing. With no broader social supports for basic needs (like housing, affordable and accessible healthy food and a universal living income) the average family must live in close proximity with, and try their best to manage, the extreme risk factors that are a constant threat in the lives of PD people. Get ICE off the street. Legislate changes re accountability and constraints around the toxic internet culture, gambling, fraud scams, pornography etc. which exploits and damages PD people as teenagers and adults, especially women. Stop the underfunding of ED departments, which turn mental health patients and homeless people away constantly, or traumatize them further in inadequate and dehumanising acute wards. Have quality drug rehab that can respond immediately (people can not wait or jump the hoops required in this state. Those rehabs that exist by the way, are full of court-ordered, highly dis-regulated young men taking 'the rehab option' instead of jail time, and are not an appropriate peer community for anyone trying to recover against all odds). Stop the barriers that prevent carers getting a CAT response unless the person with PD consents (even though they are completely unable to agree to treatment and unable to stop their serious risk behaviours which damaging their brain and inviting death by misadventure). Address the chronic inequality in society that destroys people's sense of belonging and self worth. Get police to investigate and respond to organised crime. That is how you can support carers. Seeing a psychologist once a week 'for support' or a 12-week program doesn't touch the edge.

Dbt 67% affective,, they're is no following up thus so many relaoses. I have friends who spend thousands in private dbt care and they are worse when they come out, they keep having to go back into hospital. Another friend juzt gone in. I see it as a holiday retreat from reality and line up Drs pockets for med reviews. Money meds hospitals is no guarantee to maintain dbt

We want to have purpose. We want to be part of a Tribe. We don't want you to fix us just tell us we are safe and we aren't alone that there are communities who can help us . WE WANT A JOB, WE WANT TREATMENT LIKE PAID CLIENTS, WE WANT ACCEPTANCE AND WE WANT AWARENESS. WE WANT TO GO TO SUPPORT GEOUPS AND ACCESS IT WITH OUT SECRECY. WE NEED ONLINE FACE TO FACE EMERGENCY STOP PEER SUPPORT. WE NEED KINDNESS WE NEED GENTLENESS WORKS WONDERS RATHER THAN GUILT REJECTION AND EXCLUSION...NOT EVERYONE HAS SOMEONE 😮😮 AS WE AGE ITS WORSENS...ITS SIMPLE WE ARE A BROKEN SOCIETY. WE NO LONGER CONNECT. ITS SURVIVAL OF FITTEST NOW WEALTH EDUCATION AND CONNECTIONS IS THE ONLY CHANCE IN THIS WORLD FOR SURVIVAL. TRYING TO GET SUPPORTS AS WE AGE WORSENS...THIS IS NOW A PANDEMIC AND METNWITH COGNITIVE DISSONANCE...YET WE SPEND MONEY IN AREAS NOT AS IMPORTANT. WE NEEED MONEY IN SPECIAL SERVICES TO RURAL AREAS TOO

I can't believe they're is so much support for carers and no support groups !! That is incredible. Not that they are equipped for BPD but SANE is the only one and that was a waste of time as they are not trauma specialists! Give us knowledge so we can help ourselves when in fright fawn freeze .. WE need hospitals to have separate rooms when in crisis rather than leave us in waiting rooms with others laughing at us when we are freaking out of control. This leads to more shame and can't walk out in the street in a large mining town. Paramedics Drs Emergency Dept nurses therapists even have not enough knowledge or connections for us to get help and we have to wait 3 yrs in the public system to get DBT 2 hrs away and still waiting. Because we can't v see the injury we have no understanding of the injury. IT IS LIKE WALKING AROUND 24 SEVEN WITH A LAND MINE GOING OFF IN THE BACK OF YOUR BRAIN AND YOUR BODY CANT ESCAPE THE MADNESS...PLSE DON'T DISCRIMINATE US WHO DONT HAVE ANYBODY TO ADVOCATE FOR US AND THAT REALLY IS ON TOP OF BPD REALLY REALLY TERRIFYING AND TORTUROUS HELL

I wish in Nsw Upper Hunter I had support for BPD. No MH support. No family no friends just a failed NDIS system that does not cover my phsycho social specialised trauma therapy needs. Project Air is impossible to get hold of anyone. They were supposed to contact me to do 12 wk program on zoom. I would like some one to acknowledge as white European Australian why the Govt failed to establish my identity by not making me ward of state or I would know where my family came from. So i identity with Indigenous stolen generation! I just want to know how I can survive with BPD in a rural town. What are my chances of survival with ideation. We need for those who cant afford trauma treatment hospices as the public system is HORRIFIC AND MAKES US WORSE AS ITS ONLY ACUTE CARE THEN DON'T LINK YOU IN DUE TO LACK OF SERVICES AND STIGMAS ATTACHED. You have not understood the impact of how the brain BECOMES FRACTURED WHEN CHILD IS TAKEN FROM CUSTODY...52 YRS LIVED WITH THIS AND WENT UN NOTICED . IT TOOK 1ST TIME OVERDOSE AT 52 TO DISCOVER I HAD AN ILLNESS ,I LOST A CHILD OVER IT. NOW LIVE IN ISOLATION BECAUSE IF FRACTURING AND UNABLE TO PROCESS THE MATRIX WE LIVE IN... PLSE HELP ME I REALLY NEED HELP. SUPPORT GROUPS ONLINE OR FACE TO FACE IN MUSWELLBROOK OR NEWCASTLE. ITS A BURDEN TO CARRY ON YOUR OWN AND WORSE DEALING WITH NDIS CHALLENGES AS THE SYSTEM IS CORRUPT. WE HAVE TO LIVE WITH THE SHAME AND REJECTION OF KNOWING HOW SUPPORTS OR AQUAINTENCES OR EVEN WORSE HEALTH CARE PRACTITIONERS WHO RUN AVOID US BECAUSE WE ARE TOO MUCH HARD WORK. WE HAVE TO LIVE WITH THE SHAME AND SUFFERING 24 / 7 IS HELL! . . WE JUST WANT TO BELING AND FEEL SAFE AND CONNECTED WITH A PURPOSE. WHEN YOU HAVE NO FAMILY OR FRIENDS AND YOU CANT RELY ON GOVT HEALTH SYSTEM WHAT CHOICE DO YOU HAVE BUT TO DIE. LIFELINE IS DRAINING AND WE DON'T WANT TO RELIVE OUR TRAUMA. I CAN NOT BELIEVE NSW UNLIKE WA AND VIC DO NOT SPEND THE MONEY ON SUPPORT GROUPS AND SERVICES FOR ACCESS IN UPPER AND LOWER HUNTER. THERE ARE THOUSANDS OF US SLOWLY DYING WHO DONT HAVE FAMILY. DO NOT BELIEVE THE NUMBERS THEY'RE PEOPLE WHO SUFFER FROM BPD IN SILENCE AND THAT'S NOT INCLUDED THE NURSING AND RETIREMENT HOMES! WE NEED HOMES FOR CPTSD FOR THE AGING AND AGED. THE SHAME THAT COMES WITH THIS WILL NOT GIVE ACCURATE RESULTS. WE NEED TO BE LIVING IN SPECIAL HOUSING SO WE CAN HAVE WORKSHOPS EVERY DAY. THE ONLY HELP WE CAN GET IS GOOGLE AND YOU TUBE . THE PUBLIC SYSTEM HAS FAILED US UNWANTED AND WE ARE LEFT TO ROT IN OUR DWELLINGS AND DIE ALONE. THE WAY IS TO SET UP DWELLINGS SO WE ARE INTEGRATED INTO COMMUNITY AND BECOME A FAMILY WITH LIKE SUFFERORS. WE NEED HELP TO MAKE DECISIONS WHEN WE HAVE NO SOUNDING BOARD. WE NEED TO TALK ABOUT MICRO DOSING AND WHERE WE CAN GO SO WE CAN BE SAFE AS WE CAN'T AFFORD CONTROLLED CLINICS AND THERAPISTS GIVING OUT MDMA...WE WILL HAVE A LARGE NUMBER TAKING THIS ILLEGALLY BECAUSE OF COSTS AND WE ARE DESPERATE TO NOT LIVE IN TERROR EVERYDAY, ITS THAT OR DIE TRYING.0405 002 903
