Hello & welcome to my channel.
On this channel I feature videos on my RC car collection.
I am based in the United Kingdom.
I use 3D printing wherever I can to make my builds work. Which includes many self designed brackets, adaptors & accessories.
Also models from open source sites like Thingiverse similar.
There are some full size RC bodies on the way. I have also printed scale bridges, tunnels & accessories.

WPL C74, SUZUKI JIMNY, ON THE ROCKS 1
I purchased this WPL RC about a year ago when they came out. But couldn't decide what to do to it. After watching many videos I decided upon these mods. Not many, just to make it a more scale trail truck.
* 1.55 inch metal beadlock wheels. Using 3D printed adaptor hub to allow eheels to be within arches & not foul the front bumper. Link to adaptor STL file: cults3d.com/en/3d-model/various/wpl-c74-1-55-inch-wheel-adaptor
* 78mm diameter tyres
* Roof rack, mudguards & spare wheel lettering 3D printed from Thingiverse files
* Front brush guard 3D printed to my design. STL on the way
* 6 inch driver figure. Martin Freeman, he gets around a bit now. Will do any gig!

Great job. I"m having difficulty finding these upgrades... any chance you could find them and link them here? I sure would appreciate it
Sweet looking rig, can it run 3s lipo right out of the box?
Awesome video and a very nice Jimny👏

Hi, did you leave the foam in the tire or take it out, I'm having a problem getting them to lock even on the wheel pop's off.
Nice work!
Thank you. With this colour I just had to do a Camel Trophy version..!
Hi, where can I get the great wheels, you have designed?
Great video! I used those rims and a lot of my vehicles, and I was trying to look for an indoor tire that's 55 mm by 24 mm. Can I ask what brand they are? I have one of these on order, and I've been thinking about what to do with the wheels and you, sir solved my problem, truck looks fantastic!
Great work.
Thanks for watching & commenting. 👍
Nice job..!

Extremely slow good simulation .
Glad you liked it. Thankyou for watching & commenting. 👍
I'm between these two cars... which one would you choose? 14210 or 14209? I think the 209 is more controllable... and rolls over less... so I would opt for that one... but I don't know... which one of those would you choose? or if you have a better one for the 150e price range... I want it racing with friends on an asphalt circuit but sometime we will go to the dirt circuit...
I chose the 14209 becuase it looked more scale. Performance wise I imagine they are very similar. I found it very difficult to control on asphalt. The sand was a perfect surface for this RC. It has a lot of power for it's size.
Did you cut the leg the figure? Please tell me thankss before
No, the figure is intact. The seat unscrews from underneath. It can then be split into two halves. I just used the lower half, making the seat shorter & provides more room for the figure. Some of these figures are too expensive to cut up in my opinion. Hope that helps.
Thanks !
My pleasure..👍
Great video on a awesome landscape 💪💛😉✅️ My jimny is still stock. But soon I'll do something on it😊
Thank you. Glad you liked the video. My Jimny isn't heavily modified. Still standard motor/esc/axles. But I really like it now as it is. Good luck with your Jimny. 👍
Can we use 14500 Lithium-ion battery instead of stock battery?
I'm not sure. The battery sits in the boot/trunk. There isn't much more room than the standard battery.
Amazing video and what a nice Jimny.👏👏 Yesterday I fried the board at mine😢. Don't know why , but I'll repair it.
Thank you. Glad you like it. My ESC died while I was doing the modifications. Steering became intermittent. Luckily delivery of the new one was quite quick from WPL. Thanks for watching & commenting. 👍
Ah...nostalgia! You could get a rusty one of these with a few months' MoT for a £300-£400 at one point. Why didn't I get three and shove them in a warehouse? The video does a great job of showing the shape off. It's hard to comment on the looks because I'm very biased towards these vehicles, but...man! you've got a gorgeous little truck there! The colour choice is excellent; as the vehicle veers away at the end it seems to meld into the bush, just as it should!
I know. I still think I can pick up certain vehicles for a few hundred quid. Then either can't find one any more or they want silly money for a basket case. For some reason it took me a while to get some inspiration on this RC. I think it's because it looks better than it drives. A great looking scale truck. I didn't need to make it any better. Other than a few minor tweaks & enjoy a trail run. I did a little rock crawling for the next video. But nothing extravagant. 👍
@@RC3DPrintAdventure I was driving my friend's TRX4 recently. I thought: "Ah, so this is how the other half lives!". The thing's utterly magnificent. But a few days later I was informed that we were off to the beach. I took my MN Models FJ45 along...and had such a lovely day with it, partly because they're so disappointing when you get them and it was satisfying to see how well it did. And, with its puny 180 motor, it goes all day on one battery! And it's realistic, with a hard body!
Nice job
Thanks! Glad you like it. Thank you for watching & commenting. 👍

Hello, Guy! I'm afraid I'm here in search of advice. My new, maroon, "farm truck" 125301 has snapped its front right dogbone, making it three-wheel drive. I seem to remember you telling me that this had happened to you, and that you had found that a part from another model fitted and solved the problem. Do you by any chance recall what part you used?
Hello Del. My tan truck did indeed shear a dogbone. I found metal versions advertised on Aliexpress & Amazon, but both sources cancelled the orders. Unable to supply. The only other solution I came up with was to replace both axles with similar. I bought axles from a ZP1001. Defender or Toyota FJ both the same chassis. They are a similar track width. But I haven't got any further yet. Sadly the truck is in the 'mend me' pile. I do wonder if they had a quality control issue as my previous modified trucks are still going strong?
@@RC3DPrintAdventure Thanks, Guy. In that case this truck will remain 3WD for now. I must stop buying them; they're just so useful as a basis for a fun build, and, as you say, the earlier ones seem to use a better plastic. My first one, like yours, is still going strong while the newer 3WD one has already had to have its rear propshaft replaced with a metal example.
Amazing! work, Where did you get roofrack and front grill?
Glad you like it. The both parts were designed & 3D printed by myself. Link to front grill model: cults3d.com/en/3d-model/various/mn168-front-brush-guard . The roof rack will be available soon. Thanks for watching & commenting.

@@chrisrc845 Stock parts are fine. I just wanted a more scale look. My preference. There are lots of YT reviews praising it's capability as standard. I got mine from Aliexpress. @@RC3DPrintAdventure I have it in blue.
@@DoingRC Well done. They are both great colours. 👍
I am in paradise watching this! For years, the Range Rover has been ignored while the Defender gets all the TH-cam RC coverage. Asfar as I am concerned, Guy, with every tirn of each beautiful wheel, you are righting a terrible wrong!
Thank you Del. I do feel I'm on an MN Range Rover crusade now. I was very happy when they made this model. I could see the Camel Trophy version in my minds eye. Although a D110 from MN is well overdue as well. What will be next...the Discovery? For reference the 370 motor change on it's own didn't work. The standard ESC wouldn't provide the power. I used a 15A WPL ESC in the end. The real bonus is the receiver is separate to the ESC as standard, like a real RC. So upgrade was cheaper. I'm tempted to just change the ESC on the blue one to see how good the standard motor is given half a chance. I will continue the RR crusade again as soon as I have fixed the rear axle. There was going to be more footage, but the rear wheel fell off after the last scene & floated down the stream in a comedy moment.
@@RC3DPrintAdventure Ha ha! I'm glad you were able to retrieve the wheel. The newer one of my WL Toys 12430s has lost drive to a front wheel. I keep meaning to investigate. I took my MN Models FJ45 to a day at the beach recently. It transformed what would've been s pleasant day into a brilliant one, even with a puny 180 motor. I definitely want to join your MN 186 crusade soon. As for your blue one - yes, that's a brilliant idea, to free the stock motor from the shackles of a mediocre ESC and allow it to be its true self. And we get to satisfy our curiosity too!
