Hire young people. Invest in the young people. Pay the young people well. Boomers and the owning class are not entiteled to highly educated hypermotivated overtrained emoloyees ready to be exploited. Older people, business owners, people who have made it need to drop the greed an ask not what can the next generation do for me but what can i do for them. Theres no labor force participation shortage. There is a mentorship, otj and wage shortage. And that shortage is due to boomers rich people and business owners being spoiled and poor leaders. Im down to hear rebutals.
We definitely need to hire and invest in young people. But one key point in the report is that that alone isn’t going to be enough. The demographic shifts and skills disruptions are going to require a massive, ongoing effort in training and workforce development. This will focus on young workers who are the best long term investment, but also include older workers and populations we don’t normally think about like the justice-involved.
This was a 2-man comedy bit, right? The comment about "career navigation" was the funniest thing in this discussion. 😂
Glad you enjoyed. The comedy might have been at least slightly accidental at times. But glad you found it entertaining.

AI can increase efficiency for educators by 40%, like faster grading. AI can also improve student engagement, achievement, and retention by 25-50%.
Thanks for the note and for listening!
Education, especially k-12 education is often over looked as a "solution" to climate change. Most of our solutions are really those that are the lowest hanging fruit (ICE to EV), yet those solutions are meshed in our old way of thinking that got us into these problems (climate change and biodiversity loss) in the first place. We (especially in the Western world) need to have a whole new way of thinking about our relationship to the natural world. This will not happen overnight, but our education system can begin those steps for the long term (though we don't have as long as we use to have when we became aware of these issues). There is a whole lot to unpack here and Mark's book is one of the good starts.
Thanks for the note. Mark’s conversation was a deep and inspirational one as was his book. We’d love to get him and others like him back on again in the future.
This is a fabulous framing of how we should be making decisions in the short & long term. Thank you!

After I was given Megatrends: Ten New Directions Transforming Our Lives by my professor at SFSU back in 1983, John Naisbitt became our business guru for the time we were living in. I intended to keep progressing my thinking about trend forecasting and look for new leaders on the subject. It is interesting to think that both 1983 and 2020 have become known as modern moments in time to springboard into evolving Megatrends. I wanted to refresh my insight with a new trendspotter who was foreseeing or unpacking trends evolving at the moment and digest it from the mind of a person who was part of the recent generations who are experiencing the coming world, I was born in 1959. John's accumulated knowledge that contributed to his thinking was already fading into the background (Born in '29 and died in 2021) and new spaces are opening up for others to advance the identification of new Megatrends. I just found Rohit Bhargava today. Mostly because I feel that my personal mental pulse of how AI was becoming integrated into computing and other business applications was not on the beat to make advantageous investments and I need a jolt. I am listening to this interview and will seek out more information, aside from getting the book Non-Obvious Megatrends. Not sure when this interview took place, 2020 or 2023?

Yes and No. No because it will parrot false narratives. Yes because it will parrot false narratives but can be programmed to alter and accept new answers. Then forgets about that new answer and starts providing the original failed talking points again. The good thing is there are many many studies on AI as a preprogrammed failure today. The bad thing is you are likely a fanboy and wouldn't search it unless it was tweeted by Elon Musk or some other Propaganda muppet you wish was your cuck.

I need to know what competencies and skills of instructional design we have to follow as teachers. Two things skills and competencies I would emphasize if I would apply instructional design with my content I teach. so which direction Can I use ? the first one , a international standards as following (IBSTPI -ACET ATD) that show the skills and comptenses . Second , there are some researchers tend to get the skills from ADDLE Model , and the competences from their experiences . So my question is which direction I have to use ?.
Thanks for the note. We’d recommend you try whichever is most convenient for you and aligns with your career and life goals. ADDIE is useful in that is broadly applicable and aligns with academic research and product development practices. Don’t sweat the model. Pick one and get some real experience.

Natalia referenced the work of Sissel Tolaas: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sissel_Tolaas
Well… Taylor is outselling everyone alive and is on the Biggest Tour of All Time so it makes sense that comparisons would be made. No one said Taylor Swift was outselling The Beatles and Michael Jackson but she has surpassed MJ in some metrics including grossing tour, chart success, main music awards, etc. so theres that and even with Beyonce's thriving career with DC, Taylor Swift has still outsold her in less time so the comparisons definitely make sense. If we compare Beyonce VS Taylor Swift objectively : - Talent for Singing : Beyonce - Talent for Dancing : Beyonce - Talent for Songwriting : Taylor Swift - Talent for Producing : Taylor Swift - Talent for Directing : Taylor Swift - Talent for a poet & story telling : Taylor Swift - Talent for Multi Instrumentalists : Taylor Swift (Acoustic+Electric Guitar, Piano, Banjo, Ukulele, etc.) - Critically Acclaimed : Taylor Swift (Sources: metacritic) - Total Sales : Taylor Swift (Sources: Chartmaster) - Total Streams : Taylor Swift (Sources: Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, Tidal, TH-cam, etc.) - Chart Success : Taylor Swift (Sources: Billboard) - Total Grossing Tour : Taylor Swift (Sources: Forbes, Billboard, Blumberg, Tour Data, etc.) - Total Main Music Awards : (Grammys, BBMAS, AMAS) : Taylor Swift (Beyonce if we combined with DC) - Net Worth : Taylor Swift (Sources: Forbes) - Biggest Market : Beyonce : European Countries ; Taylor Swift : Asian Countries Album released (this decade) : - Taylor Swift: 7 albums (4 re-recording albums) (1 album with full self written and solo excecutive producer) - Beyonce: 1 album (has no self written song) Self Directing Credit : - Taylor Swift: 9 Music Videos, 1 Original Film, 1 Short film (Has won numerous awards as a SOLO Director including Best Director at VMA, Best Short Film, Grammys Video Of The Year, etc.) - Beyonce: 1 Original Film (Doesn’t have any winning awards as a SOLO Director) Touring (This Decade) : - The Eras Tour: 146 dates; US+LATAM+ASIA+Europe+UK+Canada - Renaissance World Tour: 56 dates; US+Europe (canceled 1x) Taylor Swift has more impact than her peers (Artists who debuted this century) from cultural impact, global impact, economy impact, educational impact, legal ownership, music industry impact, film industry impact, why? - Cultural Impact : Taylor Swift has so many classic in her music catalogue, from the song called 22 (many people who’s turning 22 years old blasting particularly this song all the time), the song called love story (many people who propose to their partner using this song in every occasion including in Taylor Swift’s tour), the song called august from folklore album (you can see the numbers of streams from Spotify in August every year after its released to see the impact), the song called Shake it Off and Mean for anti bullying, the song called You Need To Calm Down for anti bullying for LGBTQ community, the song called Lover for Valentine’s day (See the numbers of streams and #videos to see the impact), the song called Welcome to New York become the official Tourism Theme Song in the city, and many other songs who has similar impact. Other than that, With The Eras Tour, Many Cities gave Taylor Swift flowers including naming the cities after Taylor Swift, making mural, bench, trees, street, etc. gave Taylor Swift a mayor/governor title, dressed up similar to Taylor Swift and exchanged friendship bracelet including with the celebrities who attended The Eras Tour, Taylor Swift Songs parties in many cities around the world, etc. - Global Impact : Taylor Swift is a big deal for her fans, music critics and general public Globally. Even World Leaders asked Taylor Swift to come to their countries for The Eras Tour to boost the economy (Prime Minister Of Canada, Thailand, President Of Brazil, Chile, Mayor Of Budapest (Hungary), Mayor Of Reykjavik (Iceland), etc. (Something that Beyonce can’t relate). Other than that look at the demand for the tour, Taylor Swift has more demand in USA, Europe, Asia, LATAM, and Australia and see the numbers of streams and sales… Whether you like it or not, Taylor’s still the biggest artists on the planet - Economy Impact : Taylor Swift’s 52 US Tour Dates could generate more revenue than the GDP of 35 countries to the common sense institute, according to Federal Reserve Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour could Generate $4.6 Billion For Local Economies and Taylor Swift Helps Boos Las Vegas Tourism and other cities to Pre-Covid Levels. - Educational Impact : Taylor Swift has received honorary doctorate degree in fine arts from NYU last year and many college courses that explore Taylor Swift work in depth (in the context of literature (songwriting), legal issue and business ownership, pop culture, etc.) including NYU, Standford University, Queens University, Berklee College Of Music, University of Texas, Binghamton University, Queen Mary University in London, Rice University, University Of Kansas, University Of Missouri, Carnegie Mellon University, Ghent University. - Legal Ownership : Taylor Swift is not the first artist who inspire many people to take legal ownership of master recording but she is the one who did it succesfully both critically and commercially. Look at the the critical acclaim score on metacritc for the re-recording there’s no less than 80 point with the highest score 91 (Red Taylor’s Version). Look at the sales and streams, even the first week sales of re-recorded album outsell+outstreams Other Major Artists new album. Look at the chart success, Taylor Swift is the first artist in history who debuted #1 of Billboard 200 with not only one but 3 re-recorded albums. With these result, many artists (new+veteran) who look up to Taylor Swift’s legal Ownership. - Music Industry impact : Taylor Swift is the only reason for all the artists who use apple music got more revenue from 3 months trial subscription. She’s the only artist and the fanbase who took The Ticketmaster to the congress and to the court for legal action. Taylor Swift is the only reason for the record label compromises with the new artists for their contract particulary with the duration of re-recording (legal time), and many more. - Film Industry impact : TaylorSwift’s First day of pre-sales at US BoxOffice was much bigger than anyone expected, including Cinemark and Regal to AMC’s figure, the “TSTheErasTourMovie”grossed 37M in just 24 hours of pre-sales, beating “NoWayHome’s” 35M, and even +85% higher than #StarWars: #TheForceAwakens’s 20M & Only #Endgame, with 50M in 24h, did more. Taylor Swift is the real artist. Show me other than Taylor Swift who could do ALL of these: 1. Could make self written album (without cowriters) 2. Could self directing Music Videos+Short Film+Original Film (without co director) 3. Could play multiple instruments LIVE in stadium tour (12 string electric/acoustic guitar, piano, banjo, ukulele, etc.) 4. Got the acclaim Songwriter Of The Decade 5. Got the acclaim The Biggest Songwriter on Earth 6. Got the acclaim Songwriter Of The Generation 7. Got the awards named after the artist 8. Billboard Top 10 Songwriter of All Time 9. Got the acclaim Artist Of The Decade (2010s) 10. Top #1 Billboard Artist Of The Century (2000s) Taylor Swift’s song motive/themes range from love, loss, self loathing, healing, joy, power in-balances, PTSD, mental health, sex and child abuse so, what saying is that yall do not live complex lives to be able to relate? Her one of latest projects that is album sisters called folklore & evermore took inspiration from fictional character with little snippet of her story life and talked about Mental Health, Child abuse, World War 2, PTSD, Pandemic, Infidelity, The Last Great American Dynasty, etc. FYI, the song called seven from folklore (A) talk about Taylor Swift’s child hood friend who got abuse from her father so Taylor Swift tried to asked her little friend to come with Taylor’s family and save her little friend from abusive father. With your logic it’s really hard to become a huge and long lasting artist with current climate than in the past (MJ’s eras) cause consumer has accessibility and freedom to choose the content/material by themself from any platform (physical, digital, streams, radio, etc.). To put into perspective, Taylor Swift is not only dominating in streaming numbers but she’s dominating in every metric from pure sales (vinyl, CD, digital, etc.), grossing tour, chart success, critically acclaim, main music awards, cultural impact, global impact, music industry impact, film industry impact, legal business ownership impact. Its literally considered an impact cause having huge streams helps the economic status of music industry, it helps not only the artists but also the record labels & other businesses involved to that. Its influence other artists to work hard to achieve that kind of success.
Amazingly thorough comment. Thanks for this!
Please don't compare Taylor Swift to THE BEYONCE. THAT IS BLASPHEMOUS!!!!
In which direction? #TeamBey ?

Thanks for listening. Will take a look at the Harbinger interview.
Your welcome. Thanks for sharing this perspective of people at the top of their game vs Taylor. Would be interested to hear what you thought of the Kobe interview if you feel like commenting on it. If not, that's ok too.
It was a really good interview and it makes sense that Kobe and Taylor had mutual respect. Thanks for the recommendation.
Interesting discussion. Have you guys seen the interview with Kobe Bryant (who was acquainted with Taylor) by Jordan Harbinger. He talks about how Taylor is one of those people with a killer mentality and how he respects that and studies that in people. I believe he was friends or at least very familiar aquaintance with her for a number of years before he passed away. Another interesting point about Taylor is she has been at or near the top of music stars in the world since 2014-2015, which in itself is almost unheard of for any artist, especially a woman to do. On top of that, 17 years into her career she skyrocketed even higher over the last year to almost imaginable fame and success. And thats after a huge period of media and popular backlash in 2016-2017.
the problem those computers face is the same as our entire civilization: by defining the squares and cubes as conceptual units in geometry, irregardless of their actual nonexistence in a structural sense (unless triangulated), geometry renders triangles and all subsequent structures of spacetime irrational. therefore a computer calculating large numbers of triangles, each with trailing decimals to ultimately be rounded, is wasting incredible amounts of energy and time on something that is an arbitrary obstruction. if the applied framework was a synergetic one, one that recognized the structural soundness of the triangle and naturally defined area in triangular terms and volumes in terms of Quanta, ie 'tetrahedra' (which i'd rather call foureyes), the entire virtual world would be dynamic in nature and all the triangles would be rational numbers, reducing the complexity by unbelievable amounts. ironically however, the general consensus follows the same line of thought that Mike reproduces in this conversation when he calls the cartesian mathematics at play in minecraft 'simple'. they are only simple as long as what we want to think, play, build and live with is boxes. anything else in Universe, what we colloquially call "Nature", is utterly complicated by this flavor of mathematics, rendered incomprehensible even. and this is where I have to disagree with the sense that these paradigms all have the same validity as Bucky Fuller clearly layed out that the geometric foundations of science are not themselves scientific, contrary to his experiential geometry of Synergetics. i love how Mike speaks to these matters though. clearly, his mind has taken on substantial layers of a Fuller perspective. i do appreciate that🙏
I actually totally agree with you. The short format of this podcast, being only 30 minutes, and the audience, which would not be familiar with Fuller's Synergetic/energetic geometry, (Which he took thousands of pages and two volumes to elucidate) forced me to hyphenate "my story", and simplify the explanations, to the point- as you point out , of erring in omitting some very salient perspectives on our cosmic accounting systems and metrics which are arbitrary and mis-calibrated to the cube and not the true minima - the triangle and tetrahedron. I will endeavor to do better next time. Thank you for your terrific comment.
@@mikeacerra3960 would love to hear your non-hyphenated story sometimes... i have been thinking spherically for a while now and always enjoy people speaking their mind on that, which is generally a rather rare occasion still... as a simple introduction to a synergetic frame of mind, i have been telling and tuning what i like calling the stories of the spheres, among them the story of the six spheres and it is always a beautiful time to be had sharing such... peace struppi

My local school district is considering adopting this. While I understand how students would enjoy using VR, I have serious concerns after listening to this podcast. It sounds like the globalist agenda is integrated into this MATH curriculum and teachers are secondary in this type of instruction. My grandchildren attend the district, and I am a retired educator.
Not sure about the agenda, but the media format is coming and it might accelerate or deepen learning if designed right. We’ll continue to monitor.
