We agree with you. Do not trash the countryside in the name of going Green or Net Green. It is not Green, but vandalism! Get some sense! People, you can stop this!

Go green develop environmentally friendly power generation then trash our countryside and rural communities bringing it onshore. As for costs National Grid's solution is less expensive - but for who? The taxpayer and consumer will pay top dollar for the cheaper green energy option and still have the rural environment blighted forever. When they say the solutions that favour the local communities are too expensive - they mean the shareholder won't make as much money. The taxpayer and consumer will get the cheapest and most detrimental solution to them at the highest price. We need to protect our rural environment for future generations National Grid need to step up and do the right thing and not prioritise profit over blighted countryside and communities in Lincolnshire, Norfolk and Suffolk forever.

Somehow we need to keep the scales balanced. Net Zero doesn't mean concreting green fields. There are available brownfield sites to bring energy onshore and cables must be buried.

Wonderful to see Fiona Gilmore in action and I am so thankful for her, and others especially Michael, Liz, Mary and the SEAS team. It's completely overwhelming for us mere mortals to keep abreast of the numerous consultations, infrastructure and energy projects all emerging in quick succession. So thank you for your work as well as the opportunity to see this process as it unfolds.

My sister sent me this ... She may be getting a similar road through the field opposite her house. You said some interesting things ... They TELL us ... that isn't consultation ... We need butterflies and they need us. Our ecosystems are all interlinked ... Oh yes but what is considered modern and green is just to jump on the Green bandwagon, worship Miss Ecology Sweden, make a lot of noise and then rush to do something, anything, without thinking it through in the LONG TERM. While we are destroying farm land (and the view) with wind turbines, we happily close our eyes to the fact that posting this comment to your page is using the equivalent of 1hour's worth of electricity, that the phone beeping in my pocket has a lithium battery that we will finally send to the Philippines in the hope that they will dispose of it ... You there in the UK are already way better than us here in France for recycling ... We have loads of sunshine in the South but do governments encourage you, financially, to put solar panels on your roofs (another brilliant idea that has no solution for safe disposal/recycling at end of life .. Of course not. Much more interesting for them to just increase taxes on petrol, electricity etc. I hope you can save your little bit of beautiful Suffolk ... going green, should mean listening to mother nature and NOT spoiling what she has given us rather than just listening to rants about how we are spoiling the planet but not providing well thought out solutions as to how to preserve what we have !!!
