There is an incredibly strong symbolism to Kikiyaon that I noticed. He may represent fear and darkness and both are powerful ravenous forces that can and will consume you if you let them but both fear and darkness have one fatal flaw: neither actually fights so running from fear itself as demonstrated here is meaningless and it is much more efficient to face and fight fear head on because if one does pay attention yes Kikiyaon is a ravenous owl spirit that pursues you through fear and darkness even scaring me pretty badly getting me killed a lot in the process but all he does is pursue you he never actually fights but when you do fight him he is near helpless as he doesn't really put up a fight but he still tries to consume you. I'm not saying he's powerless for anyone who may get that message I'm just saying he doesn't fight and fighting is not always necessary to prove strength or power
Overcoming your fears is a big lesson we all need to follow in life.

I'm playing on N3DS version the thing that only kills me was the platform I have 43+ death right now and on chapter 8.

It must be ancient then bud. As it's pixel art. Shouldn't have high requirements. Even an IGPU/APU should be able to handle it no problem.

For anyone struggling with the Roltaon boss, my tip is to use the Fubirang morph to get him to 50 per cent health, then use the grenades on him and his rolling friends while wall clinging to easily finish them off

For anyone struggling with the Gorgearzer boss (and lacks super reflexes), my tip is to play really lame using the bone throwing Morph. Biggest thing that I learned was to forward or back ward jump to avoid his projectiles, stay back or heal when he charge punches forward, dash past him, throw more bones etc. rinse and repeat and he can be beaten after two or three attempts

This isn't helpful at all, you don't show locations/how to get there. I can kill it, but I can't find the damn sector 3 boss after two hours of looking

Im the only one that absorbed the Angel in early game before fighting your counterpart?
nope, did the same. wound up with all the counterparts kit unlocked except seals. Not even sure if thats normal or not.

@@burghleyimeanberdly6513 I guess that can happen to everyone who have the reflex to only follow the main quest once they are sure there's no secret hidden before it.
So basically, a lot of the boss fights are bullshit and you need tons of tangerines to do them?
The tangerines only increases your max health until a full day cycle has passed, some bosses are tough to chase and hits hard, that's why I used many tangerines to guarantee the kill.

They are good, they can also fully heal you if u used one
Finally a non Pixel Metroidvania game, I'm well aware of how difficult it is to model everything, but it does give the game a fresher feel.
Yup you dont see that everyday in indies, but pixel games also got that retro vibe to them which brings back childhood memories 😜

The console version for this game is yet to be announced. It will probably release in a year from release date same as they did for Momodora: Reverie under the moonlight.
