2024 GLTC Road America - Race 3
Race 3 up until complete loss of brakes ended my race, pedal to the floor! First sign of things going wrong at ~7:35 into Canada corner. Issue was running out of rear brake pad material.

Just out here new boot goofin'. Was up over 1s from best (ie not good) lap of the weekend until blowing entry to esses and being startled by my tire throwing an unknown object straight THROUGH my right front fender. The wing is going back on for racing/pace purposes, but man I kinda love the diabolical handling of having all the rear end lift :p

Felt i was making too much power in this race and compliance dyno'd myself afterwards, which confirmed I was indeed making WAY too much power. Blew a charge pipe coupler off anyways ending my race early and then started from the back of R2 for being a dirty inadvertant cheater, woops

Linked from Facebook....cool car. That was a bummer, what brakes are you running?
Supermiata BX11 front and OE NA8 rears. Apparently ran brake bias too far rearward for a few events and roasted the rears.
Did it right. Sucks to lose brakes but good example of what to do in race if that happens. Glad nothing worse happened!

Passing is a lot easier when people miss shifts and then I still tried to ruin it by doing more sweet skids 😆

Is this just the mid resonator, or all 3 resonators deleted?
Mid-cat still in place, so the two resonators closer to mufflers.
What’s the name of the mufflers? Revel Medallion axle back? Also did you go with a an x pipe resonator delete?
Medallion Touring, yes. Resonators deleted, but no othe work. I'd eventually like to X pipe and delete center cat, but not a priority as this setup has been working great, sounds good although tame, but is quiet on highway.

Will you be at COTA with GLTC this year?
That was the plan, but not gonna make it. Wrapping up suspension work and motor swap (water pump pulley fell of at NOLA in september and ran REALLY hot). Shooting for CMP.

+Ho Cheung Yeah, realized that after watching another onboard. To be fair, both cones should have been pointers, not a pointer between two upright cones. Did it wrong either way, but that was throwing me off.

my best is also a 1'01.8 although i take different lines than you. im looking for ways to be faster because the top drivers seem to hit 1'01.5 and just walk away from me every race

Very good lap, the only place where I think you can gain a tenth or so is the exit from the last very tight (near 180 deg) right hander, its imperative to be very early on the throttle there.

Well, I switched to the InRacing News Series in the SRF once I got over 3.0 SR. Really enjoying the SRF and that series. Things have improved a lot and I'm usually under a second off the WR times, so I'm adjusting quite well. I love the iRacing community. Lots of great and helpful guys in that series who have helped me get up to speed :)
