    I bought the silver plated model, and had a friend play it on a gig, and he really liked it. He wasn't crazy about the neck, so he used his own custom made neck. I thought it sounded great! I can't play any longer, because of a stroke, so I'm doing this as kind of a hobby! The silver plating made the sound bigger, and not brighter as I was led to believe by some of the reviews. He also said the pitch in the upper register was right on the money! A friend of mine helped design the original 62 back in the 70s!

    The bore of the neck has everything to do with the sound on any saxophone!

    I want to get the CA 79 , but if it's not because of TH-cam or of the default settings of the piano, that sounds pretty digital/fake. then in this demo you should play even advanced classical music pieces in order to let people understand what's really like the quality of the CA 79. The Last note was awfully digital, I don't like, it's disappointing. I hope it's just for the reasons I mentioned. otherwise it's not a very nice digital piano

      The heavier a sax is, the more tone has the sound. It's pure physics...

  • @LuisPabloGasparotto

    The three models can deliver high quality tone in the proper hands. Tonal differences are subtle and none of the three is better or worse than the others, decision is more related to personal preferences than the audio "quality".

    It is amazing how close the 26 is to both the obviously incredible sounding 280 and 62. The player had a lot to do with this; beautifully performed. However, I listened over n over, eyes closed. The STUDENT 26, is VERY close. IMO

    Thanks for sharing it. Could you please let me know the differences between YAS-62 iii and YAS-62 04? Someone says 04 replaces iii; others say they are exactly the same but iii is for US market while 04 is for European market. Confused :-(

    Erin made each of the horns sing. She's quite a player and her sound pulls the listener into the music. Before I knew it I was foot tapping and knee slapping to her beat. Nice sound. Oh yeah and the horns were nice too!

    I know that they are greatly built and so on, but unfortunately I can't stand the sound of Yamaha Sax.... It's too bright. I love the dark, smoky, airy sound, Lester Young like. Please, is there anything out there for beginners (that does not cost a kidney) that can be at least a bit close of the sound of a Conn 10M, for example?

  • @MrBoybergs
    @MrBoybergs 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    D2 sounds a tad thin on all the horns; maybe a quirk of the mouthpiece.....
