Wow What a story!!it makes me miss medicine a lot.if I had someone to take care of my mother I was gonna finish medical school and always want to be a neurosurgeon I lost my dad to brain bleed and my mother had a stroke shortly after. It was as if life had conspired to test my limits. My dreams of becoming a neurosurgeon had to be put on hold as I stepped up to take care of her. I remember how my textbooks and notes gathered dust on the shelf, a constant reminder of the life I had set aside. It's nice to see female neurosurgeon that overcome challenges, struggles and be top of a field that's dominanted by males

Why this kind of life

During our clinical year at Hawassa University, Dr. Yordanos invited us to observe her perform a spinal cord tumor surgery. She mentioned that anyone who stayed for the entire operation, which lasted approximately eight hours, would receive a special award. Out of the ten of us present, only one remained until the end of the procedure.😊 Dr. Yordanos has always been an inspiration to all of us.

She was a year ahead of me in elementary school. Her way of speaking and her smile remain unchanged-still as fresh as ever. I’m happy and proud to see her again.

እኔ በ1966 ዐ/ም ሀይለ ሥላሴ ዩንቨርስቲ ህክምና ፋከልቲ /ጥቁር አንበሳ ገብተው ከተመረቁት አንዱ ነኝ :: 45 ሆንን ስንጀምር አንድም ሴት መሃላችን አልነበረችም: ከብዙ ውጣ ዉረድ በሁአላ ተሳክቶልን በ1972 የተመረቅን 32 ስንሆን ግማሽ ሃህሉ ከሀገር ውጭ ናቸው:: ውድ ዶክተር ዮርዳኖስ የተፈጥሮ ግዴታሺን የተወጣሽ እናትና ሀገርሽ ዉስጥ ሆነሸ ለህዝብሽ መድህን ነሽና ልትኮሪ ይገባሻል ::
