Nice work folks. I’m not a fan of wooden structures as part of a TRAIL but, in this case the need seems real. Ope - next time you operate a saw and record the dubious act on TH-cam, your training and certification should have taught the operator to wear proper PPE… that volunteer would have been politely asked to go home, if on one of my events.

Unfortunately, I didn't catch that part of the ski on the video! I didn't have the beep turned on so I hadn't realized the camera had not responded to my voice command!

what brand are those post bases? Where did you get them? Can't find them called swamp plates
Those plates [referred to as “pans”] are made in southern Wisconsin. Custom made and pricey [about $100/each]. Contact Ice Age Trail Alliance in Cross Plains, WI for the fabricator contact information, ask for Chad, he’ll set you straight. The IATA uses them for all trail crossings of water and solid earth… the fabricator must have a connection to this group, pans are used in nearly EVERY construction project, wet or dry.
This is entertaining more than teaching, but excellent job on the bridge.
Who ever filmed and edited this video did a great job of maximizing its cringe factor.
Would have been great if someone other than a pet monkey operated the camera.
