Mumbai to Solapur - A Spiritual Journey: Temples, History & Adventure

Join us on an unforgettable journey from Mumbai to Solapur as we explore the rich history, vibrant culture, and sacred temples of Maharashtra. Our adventure begins with a scenic train ride from Mumbai to Solapur, covering a distance of approximately 450 km and taking around 8-9 hours.
Once we arrived in Solapur, we checked into Hotel Jay Palace, where we had booked a dormitory for 30 people to stay together comfortably. After freshening up, we set out to explore some of the most revered spiritual spots in the region.
Our first stop was Gangapur, where we visited the holy Sangam and the famous Gangapur Temple. After a peaceful visit, we continued our journey to the Swami Akalkhot Temple before heading back to our hotel for a relaxing evening.
The next morning, we woke up early to visit the Tulja Bhavani Temple, a significant pilgrimage site dedicated to the goddess Tulja Bhavani. Later, we visited the renowned Pandharpur Vitthal Temple, one of the most sacred places for devotees of Lord Vithoba. We also took some time to admire the serene Chandrabhaga River, located near the temple.
Our spiritual exploration concluded with a satisfying dinner at Hotel Preeti Dining, where we enjoyed local Maharashtrian delicacies before catching our train back to Mumbai.

- Solapur to Pandharpur Vitthal Temple: 115km (2-3 hours by car)
