A snowblower is not built to push heavy snow, you will kill your blowers drive system,
What’s the point? Great idea but design it to go on something that is not already made for snow removal. Drill the crap out of you blower housing for nothing.
Would not be needed if you simply attached a sump pump to the front of your blower to pump the extra water out of the snow.
stupid
nuts go on outside
Okay. Some nerd came up with this but why🤔.. instead of calling it dumb as f... maybe a video showing how its to be used or why its better than the auger and impeller
Why?
What a bunch of bullshit 😂
This would be great for pushing stuff during the summer and not just snow like gravel driveway or what not
If anything show us how to make a bucket or cart to use in the yard to move trees and bags of mulch around. Sixtyfiveford probably has a video.
That is totally ridiculous would never fly here in Ontario Canada.
What idiot came up with this ,beter yet who would do this to a snowblower. Key word Blower!
Mechanic here says that the housing is not strong enough for this. Great idea....
I made something similar to that years ago (made out of an old readymix chute) and I found out the machines are not really designed to push much additional weight even after putting the chains on. And it would probably wear out the transmission drive disc and rubber drive wheel prematurely anyway. Snow gets heavy (you should already know how hard a shovel full of heavy snow is to push any distance) and pushing a blade like that full is even harder. I once thought it was good idea until I actually tried it and found out otherwise. Just go out and put a piece of plywood in front of your auger housing and see just how much snow you can push! You will probably change your mind as I did. If this was such a great idea, you would see many manufacturers making and selling them already.
With that much snow, you could do a better job with a leaf blower. Good way to wear out the drive system on your snowblower. The little drive disc and rubber wheel is not designed to push snow, just the weight of the machine.
I think this is great. I just installed it but I have one complaint. I installed it following the install instructions on your website as booklet says to go to. But I see now that I should of only measured up 7.5. Inches not the 9 inches video says.
Is the blade in contact to the ground? I had mine installed as per the video but it had a gap of about an inch. I have a toro snowoplow.
Great Idea . anyone saying less is a hater .
"Great video! I noticed that the video mentions measuring 9 inches from the ground for the installation, but the printed instructions specify 7.5 inches. Could you clarify which measurement is correct for optimal setup? Thanks!"
I’m wondering the same thing. jeffb5269, did you get an answer?
Great work you guys. I need one. When will it be back in stock? Says sold out on the website. I am also wondering if how durable it is? My blower is very powerful so do I need to be careful to not break the throwerblade?
will this fit a snow blower that is 30 inches wide ?
Stay away from it. I bought one, and on day one it didn't work. It works on the real light stuff 1 to 2 inches, but 3 to 8 inches for the heavy stuff is like hitting a tree stump. You get what you pay for. Lesson learned.
Not true, there are tons of videos moving thick heavy snow, you have to angle the blade and it pushes anything.
Bought it, installed it, snow is gone though, but feels very solid, very good weight of all parts. Drill bit provided was useless on my Toro but a good metal step drill did the job. I am guessing that for heavy wet snow that is a chore for the blower , this will be a good , fairly priced for the quality add on. Will leave a proper review next winter!
Perfect for pushing slush, instead of clogging snowblower! Nice!
Snowblower transmissions are not designed to push any amount of additional weight more than the machine itself, so (if you know how the drive system works) you will be wearing out the rubber driver wheel (along with the disc that drives it) prematurely. And those little wheels won't push much snow with so little weight on them. Even if you have chains you won't do much in wet heavy snow. You're better off to install an impeller kit on your machine and learn to blow it out of the way instead of trying to push it. Before wasting your money, go out and try to push some snow with piece of plywood in front of your auger housing and see how that goes for you! You will probably change your mind.
So is this something you do if your auger or impeller are broken instead of fixing it?
For pushing slush
My lord how lazy are people! If there isn’t enough snow to use the blower then you get your shovel out! If your to old, weak, or fat to shovel then you budget to pay for a service. If this was meant to fit on a piece of equipment that was not designed for snow removal like a lawnmower it would make sense.
What about slush!? The blade can be used to push slush, instead of clogging snowblower.
Agree! If you are too old to shovel - just move to Florida!
This is a good invention cuz you get heavy wet snow and your snowblower won't clog
How much does one of these cost
So you need to manually walk in front of the blower and lift up the blade every time you make a new pass or back up?
I gotta lie, this thing looks great!!! Totally not a waste of money….
I’m still waiting on mine to come ?!
Then why buy a snow blower ?
That will not last in buffalo ny
lol try a canadian winter
So install this and then it will void any warranty no thanks
Well I just ordered one not😢😂
I think this is a good idea. It's not useful for snow that is dry enough to blow but it is very useful for slushy snow that would clog the chute. If your only other choice is to push that slush by hand this is a great alternative. How do I know? I use a piece of plywood attached to my snowblower for clearing the driveway of slush and it works great. The snowblower is well able to push the slush without strain. For the length of my 100' drive I push it about 1/3 of the way at a time and clear that pile of slush to the side and then continue. Sounds like most of the critics on here have never even tried that simple experiment and are just speculating without experience.
This seems like a terrible idea. You don’t need to push heavy/wet snow out of the way. You would be better off adding rubber to the impeller blades to make sure there isn’t a gap so it won’t clog. Plenty of videos on how to do that. good way to damage your snowblower drive mechanism and waste money/increase frustration
Queef under my eye lids
This shouldn’t even exist! POS
Been to Shark Tank?
What a waste of money. I've owned several blowers and the tires spin as soon as the shoot hits dirt so that's not gonna push crap.
I would see this as useful in pushing slushy wet snow that plugs up the snowblower with ice. Concern is the snowblower strong enough to push slushy ice?
I do it with a piece of plywood and my 32"Ariens is plenty strong enough to. Traction, not power is the limiting factor.
If there is too much slush to push straight angle the plow
If there's snow on the ground, I shouldn't be able to see your ankles.
****** Questions*******Will this void my manufacturers warranty on a brand new $3,500.00 + snowblower... Will my 212cc gas engine be strong enough, will this do well on a gravel driveway, will this do well on a nice & wet heavy snow that the snowplow pushed in front of my driveway, will this put any extra stress on the traction belt, the friction wheel, friction disc, gears & chains if equipped.........??????????????????????????????????????????. Just asking...
You’ll be using your lawn mower before package arrives, very slow on delivery the goods.
Ordered one , cancelled. You have to wait until sometime pass middle of February and beyond. They charge your credit card immediately, in the mean time you wait and wait and wait. The statement will be in before you even use it. Mickey Mouse. Don’t waste your time.
If the "light stuff" is blowing back in your face, wait till the blizzard is over, and then go out and blow...
You're kidding, Right?
Not a bad idea, it is one I have often wondered about for our two gravel driveways, the blower is very limited when only small amount and ground not frozen. I would get one.
I agree with the other comment. What use is this. It’s suppose to throw snow. U never mentioned size of drill bit and why die the blade not have a full length cutting edge. It doesn’t go all the way across. Not a purchase I’d make.
