For titling the bus as a motorhome in FLORIDA- 1) you will need to print out this packet : www.flhsmv.gov/pdf/proc/tl/tl-13.pdf 2)fill out and highlight specific items regarding motorhome 3)choose 1 of th...
CEDAR CEILING? WALLS? PLUMBING ?! Ep. 8
มุมมอง 7152 ปีที่แล้ว
Hey guys! We are still getting in the groove of recording and editing, so don't mind a few hiccups in the video! We are far from editors and are trying our best to mirror the process along the way. We may have been away from the camera for a bit, but we have been working away! We got in most of our water system and ran the lines, started most of our electrical for the outlets and switches, wire...
6 IN 1 SOFA/ DINETTE ?! Ep: 7
มุมมอง 1K2 ปีที่แล้ว
Hey Hey! We just completed our multi-functional sofa/ dinette! We have seen many different ways to do this but could not find a single one for our specific wants. So, we created a product that is a variation of many dinettes that we have seen. We had a good amount of room to work with. It actually is 6 in 1! -Dinette for 2 -Dinette for 4 -Pull out for bed for two people -L shaped lounge -Standa...
WILL WE HAVE ENOUGH ROOM FOR SOLAR?!! Ep: 6
มุมมอง 9412 ปีที่แล้ว
In this episode we installed our solar racks with 10' Unistrut from Home Depot. There are many options when it comes to the Unistrut hardware and mounting the panels. This was the best way for us considering we still need to install a fan and wanted to utilize our emergency hatch. We decided to run our panels down two rows on the side of the bus. We plan on running (2) 240 watt panels on each s...
WE START FRAMING OUR FUTURE WALLS!! Ep: 5
มุมมอง 2.9K2 ปีที่แล้ว
We start to frame out our full shower, toilet area & closet! We are primarily framing and will put walls on in the future ( so we can still easily run water lines and electric behind everything ). We are waiting to purchase everything in our water system, and have a ton to do until then! We did take a week break and headed to the mountains of North Carolina. It is important to take some resets ...
WE BUILT A BED FRAME IN A SHUTTLE BUS!! Ep: 4
มุมมอง 3.8K3 ปีที่แล้ว
In this episode we framed out our floor supports with 1x3's and insulated the floor between those! we then put our final plywood down on top. We then moved on to putting furring strips on the walls to allow attachment points for walls, cabinets etc in the future. Finally, we built our first item.. the bed ! For our back wall we did a shiplap style from cuts of plywood we had left over from the ...

Oh my gosh! That's awesome. Please do a walk-through for us I would love to see it.😊 🌷🐾🐾
@@fightingtosurvive6527 if you are talking about the camper, we did! It is actually the video posted before this one !
@@takiniteasy4500 oh ok, thanks !
Are you going to show any video of working the beet harvest?
@@seabeevet9285 probably not! We are about to start and it’s usually pretty hectic once it starts. Cell phones are prohibited around the machines especially recording. I’ll see if I can grab some footage after the harvest
One thing a lot of conversion folks miss: weight. You lose gas mileage without worrying about weight. Tiles?? No thanks.😊
@@JeffreySmith7777 we have since sold the bus, but we built that bus with weight in mind. We weighed it multiple times throughout the process, and the finished product was below the buses GVWR with plenty of room for payload. If you watched our tile video, we used flexible thinset under the tiles and a very expensive Epoxy grout , all considering the flexing of the vehicle. Until this day, the new owners have never mentioned anything breaking. Gas mileage? Fully packed we averaged 10-12 MPG depending on winds. Anything else?
Nice job!
@@anneinspokane6744 thank you !
Good to see that you’re doing well my friend, congratulations on your new home!

Beautiful shuttle bus build ❤
thank you very much !
Love the lay of the land!

You look like that guy from Queen of the South, James.
Not even a little bit, lol.
@@marshamarshamarsha4567 I had to google that, I have to kindly disagree 😂
Well thought out design. Thinking ( dreaming?) of doing a short bus conversion. The electrical is intimidating. Question would you do another one? (Having completed one is it worth it?)
We need to do any update, but we sold the bus and recently got a really nice travel trailer. A lot more spacious in this now. But would I do it again? I think I would/ more as a hobby or to flip. I don’t think our situation (2 adults and 2 large breed dogs) do the best in the small setup. Is it doable ? Sure. But we personally needed more room. You do a ton of research and then research more. It’s rewarding when all of your research comes alive.
The Empyrean Series and bus life!!! We are kindred spirits! Love it!
Hi guys. How long is it?
Hi! Bus has sold but it was roughly 29 feet bumper to bumper
gotcha just thoght you were having a ChatGPT Moment of Silence!🤐🙂😄
Not too sure I understand the analogy but thanks! Lol
Watched several times... beautiful bus! I really like the bathroom.. what is the floor made of? River rocks? Be safe!
Thanks ! We have sold the bus but yet it was river rocks!
Thanks for all this information it was very informative I’m actually about to invest in that same shuttle bus and I reside in Florida. Thanks so much for the heads up and what all is needed to get it registered. Safe and happy traveling adventures to the both of you…❤
Awesome ! Thank you and good luck!
Im sorry. I thought you were putting the price in the description. I must be looking in the wrong place. I am getting ready to get a school or shuttle or maybe a van. But if i am able to get something with a reasonable price. Then that would be time to think about it.
We actually sold it! Good luck with your searching
How did you get those keys made?
So many great details, but you had me with your book collection, lol. H.D. Carlton is a top favorite as is Rebecca Yarros!! Thanks for sharing and have fun on the road.
Oh Lordy, this is the boyfriend typing, not another book fan! don't hype her up! I call all these things fire starters !! lol. But thanks for the compliment!! And thanks for watching !
Probably the best layout I’ve seen so far
thank you! we really enjoy having the bedroom almost blocked off to itself. it adds a lot of privacy especially since Taylor is a travel nurse and some contracts she is on night shift and sleeps during the day. it all tied together really well.

thank you very much!
If I was mechanically savvy at all I would totally buy this, it looks really nice.
Everythjng is already done for you! But thanks 😊
The Chevy Kodiak C4500 would just be the cutaway chassis of the bus, while the body is a Champion Challenger.
That is correct

Love you too unc!!!
Definitely some good memories right there buddy! Congratulations to you both! Cheers 🍻 from South Florida!
Yes sir! Hope all is great buddy!
how perfect !adios!💪
Awsome video thanks a lot for taking the time!!
Is that more efficient than a propane heater?
From our experience , it seems to be. Haven’t used a propane heater but we can go about 2-3 weeks on 5 gallons of diesel with it set to low about 8-10 hours a night. Our friends with travel trailers seem to go through propane quickly with their heater
@@takiniteasy4500 have you checked your fuel mileage? I am looking at a 2007 bus like yours and can't find any mpg info for a bus only for trucks.
a lot of variables including weight driving conditions etc. we weigh around 17k fully built out with all luggage/ gear and full tank of 40 gallons of diesel and half tank of water roughly 35 gallons. on the flat highways cruising around 65 mph we average 12-13 mpg. once we hit the hills we average 9-10. also my bus has a 6 speed transmission but my year of 2006 is only programmed to 5 gears. the 2007 your looking at will have the 6th gear unlocked hence lower rpms on the highway equating to slightly better MPG. @@edonwheels7396
Brother that looks so awesome! Congratulations!
You the man!! thanks buddy
Hey! Love your guys video! I just bought the same bus and I don’t have shiny wheel caps like yours. What are you doing with your old ones?
I am sorry for the late response, somehow didn't get notified of this comment! those are wheel simulators- we gave ours away locally. Hopefully you are gaining success in the bus!
Great Job! That bus looks amazing and hi tech. Congrats
not as good lookin as that chargaaa!!! Thanks!

"dang Son"
it was titled as an RV. not a motorhome.
Hello! I am not sure what you are referring to, but ours is titled as a Motorhome. Not a recreational vehicle. Thanks for watching 😁
Nice! I'm in Coral Springs right now. Sorry y'all had legal trouble. Maybe I'll see y'all on the road soon.

Y'all's bus looks nice! Those locking cabinets are a great idea. Unfortunately, your audio cut out at 6:20-ish. Everything looked good though!
Thank you! Yes, we are still trying to get in the groove of recording and editing lol! Thanks for sticking around !
Wow! Coming along nicely!
Slowly but surely !
Awesome video!!! Thank you for that!!
Clear as mud. You can skip to 10:00 and stop at 11:00. Consider making a model in sketchup to illustrate, or show picture examples from other builds that served as your inspiration pieces.
Thank you for your very informative suggestions!
@@takiniteasy4500 sorry to be so blunt, but I really think you could do this off the bus (share screen), and you could still fill the 10 minutes to compare different ways people have done it. I do think you guys are the first I have seen to do pull outs, lift up storage, AND a center drop leaf in one piece! That's impressive.
@@GTLandser this specific video is for anyone currently needing ideas to build something similar to this. Hence the video title, (episode 6.5).
