In November, Pallas Projects/Studios presented One must imagine Sisyphus happy, an exhibition curated by Eve Woods. This project showcased the works of Croatian artists Mia Maraković, Pavle Pavlović, and Rada Iva Sibila, exploring how individuals navigate a pervasive sense of impending doom through ritual, absurdity, and transformation.
In this interview, curator Eve Woods introduces the exhibition, followed by conversations with the three artists. They share their creative processes and inspirations, discussing themes such as compulsive collecting, meme culture, absurdist trompe l’oeil, and the physicality of transformation through sound and performance.
