Get on the radio when she wakes up, find out what the rest of the south is getting up to, but it seems like she wakes up late, calls people from the north and chills with them, which is absolutely fine if that is what she wants, but it will always leave her disconnected from her crew

Pretty sure she was mainly friends with the people who moved north, but was forced to stay south cuz the south would collapse without her. So she’s stuck rping with a bunch of people she wasn’t close with or new recruits instead of her friends. I mainly watch clips tho so I’m not 100 percent sure lol, just seems like what’s been going on

(Sorry, I yapped a little bit.) As a Gege POV watcher, it's death by a thousand cuts; there's no one thing that's happened that has her quiet quitting in the South but IMO it could be boiled down to two things. First thing: Gege used to be more involved in the Cypress leadership (until the subcrew era), but the Dons have been slowly distancing her from anything that isn't money-related since Main Heist Crew ended, and that accelerated when the North-South split happened. She liked Lang as a Don because he's a strong leader who usually treated her words like they had weight. She likes Speedy's style of leadership, but he's only around in the morning. She... doesn't have a lot of confidence in the other two South Dons. Specifically, she has talked to Luciano as an OG on multiple occasions about ways to improve the crew and his own leadership, and the outcome is always the same: he agrees with her, he immediately forgets the conversation, and nothing changes. She gives Harry professional courtesy and not much else because they've had blow-ups in the past (mostly around farming when that first started, but he also tried to sus her out over money stuff a few times even though she was clean as a whistle). If she tried to give him any advice, he'd more likely shoot her than actually listen, so nothing changes. Second thing: her explicitly-stated Day Ones are Tony, Lang, and Octo... none of which are in the South. She was close with Sofia and all of 404, and they all went North also. She wakes up, lets everyone on radio know she's awake, texts the Dons, does the money, refreshes the farm seeds since no one else does, gets skipped for jobs, and then fucks off to Redline or the Knox Family because they actually call her. By the time the primetime folks are done with their heist attempt, there's a 70/30 chance they decide to go play Marvel/FIFA/CS2 instead of stay in the city. Her existence within Cypress is a shell of what it used to be. She'd be thriving in the North, but Lang said no and took her understudy (Sofia) with him. Lang would have a better understanding of Gege's POV if he were talking to her daily like they used to in early days of Cypress, but every conversation they *don't* have gets replaced with cooked comms and Lang's paranoias. This is as clear as mud from his POV, but Lang is one of the few people Gege is completely transparent with. She just isn't going out of her way to try and fix everything anymore.

​@@matthewcarrico2964 great explanation since i don't watch her but i watch Lang. The problem with Gigi being transparent is. She speaks in a way that it is clearly, not clear. I don't know why, it gives away that she's not speaking everything there is to say. As a main Peppo watcher, it was the same with Edgar, and with him she WAS hiding stuff. So when she is transparent is looks the same as when she's not.

​@@sunsixizzyOh, she was 100% playing Edgar. She mainly wanted the FIB document info, and then she got pulled all the way in AND managed to drag CJ in as well. Classic fumble. The Faceless stuff also happened at the worst possible time. She was taking a hard line with respecting their rules (don't talk openly, etc.) not realizing that that door was already getting blown open elsewhere. She was only giving specific information when directly asked, which... incomplete information can very easily be read as lying by omission. And, instead of asking for all the details, Lang fills in the holes himself with "This only makes sense if Gege works for The Faceless." There's nothing she can do to refute that without sounding like an op, so it's checkmate on that currently. There's a point where Gege would come in to clear all of this up, but she doesn't have that drive to try and fix everything anymore. Buddha and Geega are both playing hard into their characters' imperfections and its setting the scene for some good RP down the road.

Yeah it was perfectly said honestly. From what I've seen though, a lot of the current "og" members are happy with this new change. I don't really think there any members that are "drowning". A big thing that really helped with the souths survival was definitely getting rid of that disconnect between the dons and the crew. That's why I think the OG members are much more happy with this change. Gigi is a special case though, I dont understand her mindset.

The biggest gaslight was Lang saying south would fall apart if Gigi went north but really that was Lang not wanting Gigi because she would try to undermine him and try to push her complicated systems on everything
