For those who are wondering why Lum's dad has a Californian accent, here is my thought: in the original work by Rumiko Takahashi, Lum's dad has a strong Kansai (west part of Japan where Osaka, Kyoto and Nara are located) accent. I guess BBC tried to choose a different accent which is contrasting with RC, and at the same time, which has nothing to do with Classes or colonialism. P.S.: I'm from Kansai

Dude we need more British dubs. Hell, Canadian and Australian dubs too. I'm American but after hearing this it's genuinely bizarre that we have literally no dubs that aren't from America (at least not that I know of)
