In mid-April 2024, HD Philippines hosted the first Bangsamoro Mediators’ Forum, bringing together 29 local mediators from 14 organizations across the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.
The three-day forum aimed to foster a community of practice among local mediators working on clan conflicts in the region.
This longer version of the video was featured in a segment on the Bangsamoro Mediators’ Studio, offering a more in-depth discussion on mediating community-level conflict in a post-agreement context. It highlights the challenges our mediators face and explores opportunities to sustain these efforts.
Since 2004, HD has played a crucial role in ending conflict in southern Philippines, supporting the 2014 peace talks and ongoing efforts through community dialogues, women’s livelihood projects, and mediator training.
