That guy needed to test his game out with "gamers" not 3 soccer mom's. For instance my mom think "Here to Slay" is essentially dungeons and dragons. I feel like they were just the wrong audience.

I saw it twice, entire, and enjoy a lot as game designer in process of creation.

Thanks for the documentary, it's kind of reassuring to see those oldschool designers face the same hardships and overcome it time and again to succed. I wouldn't call myself an aspiring designer. Never intend to do this as a full time job. But I hope to get my game pitched at some point.

I'd like to give a shout for Bruno Cathala, who appeared multiple times, but was not mentioned.

The NC Miata (3rd gen) that you showed was in production for the first couple years before they released the facelifted version (NC2) due to the polarizing popularity of the NC in terms of looks (the NC facelifted version looks much closer to the ND 4th gen miata).

Also, the curren is just a coupe (as opposed to the liftback) 6th gen celica with a different front clip swapped on. So that makes the comment about the gen5-like rear quarter funny, since its literally a gen6 rear quarter.

Great video but you used the wrong version of the 5th gen. I see your pics are from the wiki. They had gt-four/alltrac/carlossainz/gt-s/gt-is pictures on the wiki too, versions which all completely fix the rear quarter you spoke of.

This was so cool to watch, so many different perspectives showcasing different challenges in game design was so interesting. The editing and music timing and choice was amazing and props to all the designers in this. The vulnerability and openness from these designers needs to be recognized.
