เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 15 ก.ค. 2022
This channel teaching you how to cook from scratch, cook with cast iron. I use cast iron mostly but most recipes can use the stainless steel cookware. I will also be showing how to restore your cast iron. Most of these recipes are from my aunt in North Carolina and some other family recipes handed down to me from other family members. Enjoy the recipes and please subscribe ,,,also sewing projects I’m doing daily. I love to teach ppl how to sew as it’s my passion ❤️I do a lot of New Look patterns, try to give hints and tips on sewing for the beginner, I’ve been sewing for 50 years + and my aunt was a professional seamstress and taught me everything I know. I do sew along, which sometimes can be lengthy but you can’t skip a step when you are just learning, I hope you all will enjoy the videos learn a few things ❤️and subscribe.

Really happy to see you safe!!!! Sending you tons of positive vibes and hoping things will improve soon for you but take all the time you need!!
I really like this pattern because there are no side seams or side pockets. My daughter gets sore hips when sleeping on her side so these are ideal. Thank you for this video. Iam writing from the U.K.
Do you have a pattern for the shirt you are wearing? Is that gauze? I love the fabric.
Let me look what pattern number it is
Prayers for your husband.
Glad you are safe.
That gauze fabric is adorable.
I really appreciate the explanation and information. I'm inspired.
Appreciate your kindness thank you I was looking for this pattern and ran across your vedio.
I wondered how those hurricanes would impact your home. Please be safe!
They have been awful this year. It moved our wooden shed that weighs like 2500lbs. So strong, we lost a couple pool cage screens . Just minor damage this time. I hope we are done with them. We are looking in New Hampshire for a home. I can’t go through this again. Too stressful, thanks for checking in on me❤️
Nice to see ye have survived the storms. Take care and thank you for sharing your sew alongs. I have found them really helpful
It would be great to see how to sew the shirt. All the steps were covered.
Happy to see you are safe, Abbey!! These hurricanes have been heinous. Prayers going to all in the SE affected by these weather events. Yes, you've done plenty of videos for us to watch/re-watch, and we appreciate your hard work.💗💗 🙏🏼🙏🏼💗💗
Hopefully we will see you soon. Glad that you are all safe and well. It must be a nightmare for you. Sending you lots of hugs. x
gald yall are okay and take your time God bless
Can't wait.
Me too!
So pretty Abbey. I hope all is well and you are safe and sound.
Yes we are safe, just went through hurricane Milton, crazy night
You did a great job with the blouse I am planning to do the small collared top for this fall. Thanks
Thank you so much for this! I've had this pattern cut out for a while now and it has been a struggle to get it together. I cut it according to my measurements and it was way too big, so I cut it way down. Now trying to get the neckband attached. Looking foward to getting this one completed so I can start on something new. Looking forward to more of your videos, this was so straight forward and everything was easily explained.
Such a good idea about attaching a safety pin to the front piece, thank you. I am about to make this top, again and love the idea of the cuff. You are a genius.
Tyvm
I am making this nightgown but I am confused because the pattern says to cut out 4 sleeves (each sleeve is lined) and I notice that you did not do that, You never mention it so I was wondering if you just decided not to do it or did you forget ?? Thanks for your videos. I really do enjoy them! Nancy
I didn’t line mine,
@@Sewhome I decided not to line mine either since I am making it out of flannel. It would be too thick and too hot! I am in Southern California LOL Thanks for your response. Yours turned out beautiful!
I’m in Florida so I know what you mean
Thank you
I am sewing view D blouse side seams and the front is half an inch longer from underarm edge to triangle marker than the back side seam edge. Did you have this issue? Did you ease the front to the back or cut off the difference? Or were they the same length?
Same
So grateful to find this... I quilt (sewed in 4-H & Home Eco in 7th grade), actually sewed one of my prom dresses.. but have lost the sensibility! So grateful for this. Thank you!
This was the last video I received, are you taking a break? Everything ok?
I’m knitting Christmas stockings right now, I have a few more orders to do up and I’ll be back sewing. I have fabric ready to sew up. I don’t get paid by TH-cam so when the orders come in I got to do them up.
@@Sewhome thank you for the update, glad all are ok🤗
Prayers to you and your husband . Been missing your videos
I’m knitting right now. The Xmas stockings, I have several orders to do. I don’t get paid by TH-cam so I have to do these up before getting back to sewing. Hopefully a couple more weeks of knitting
What do I do with the other facing piece? Why does it tell me to cut 4 when we ate only using 2 pieces
Is it interfacing or fabric? I’ll have to look at the pattern
You have a back and front collar in fabric
I love your sewing machine
Which side of the shirt did you put that loop? The pattern says the right , but it looks like you did it on the left
Right
Yea for you! I'm sorry people get almost rabid regarding him. Thanks for the elastic tip! I'd like to put up a sign or wear a hat etc. but I'm afraid to. People can be scary over this.
I know, crazy
Praying for you and family.🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
I wondered where you were😮. I’m so sorry to hear all you have going on with your husband. Praying for you guys.
Ty, I’m knitting Xmas stockings right now, have a few orders. I don’t get paid by TH-cam so I have to do the orders before I sew, hope everyone understands
You knitted the stockings by hand, not a knitting machine? Wowsers!
By hand❤️I love making for keepsakes for ppl
Why brand of iron do you use
Panasonic
Those stockings are awesome! U r so talented!
Ty, I’ve made hundreds of them for clients and family
Congratulations!
Thank you
Congrats!! 😍
Hello - I'd like to try this bread, but I wanted to ask if you could check the following ingredients and see if I forgot anything: 4.5 t dry yeast 1/2 cup warm water 2 cups milk 1/2 stick butter (is this correct?) = 4 T scant 1/4 cup sugar 1/2 t salt 3/4 cup molasses 2 cups rye flour 3 - 4 cups white flour (is this all-purpose or can bread flour be used?) Two 9" x 5" pans - 350 degrees - 45 min. Tent if necessary, after 25 min. brush loaves with butter, when baked Thanks so much!
Let me look, I just woke up, having coffee and then I’ll check
Yes you got it, sometimes I have to bake mine for 55 minutes
@@Sewhome Thank you for getting back to me! Should I use bread flour or all-purpose? And, thanks one more time...
@kineticfractal6804 I use all purpose most of the time but I’m sure if you have bread flour you can use that. This is an old recipe from years ago from a friend’s grandmother. I don’t know if they had bread flour back like 100 years ago.
@@Sewhome Hi again, with an update. I made the bread - the two loaves were beautifully textured and very large! I couldn't get over the softness and moisture content, which isn't usually prevalent in rye breads. The only thing I didn't care for was the amount of molasses. To me, it caused the bread to have a bitter under taste. I think it's a simple fix - I'll try the bread, again and lessen the amount by half or so. Thank you for this recipe - I've been looking for one with these characteristics for a very long time. All the best to you and your channel! Oh, one last thing - I ended up having to add a good bit more than the recommended amount of white flour, 5 -6 cups (I used all-purpose), so I could knead the bread properly. Not enough to dry it out, but enough to enable kneading, yet still be stickier than you think it should be. If that even makes sense...
Praying for you & your husband ❤
Ty
Prayers up for your family!

Sending you and hubby positive vibes

Love and appreciation you dear lady! I will keep watching and liking your channel ❤️❤️❤️

Great video, thank you. I just made mine & did view C but decided in the end not to put the sleeves in & just did the binding. Pleased with it but if I made another I would reduce the amount of fabric as it’s really large.😊
Yes I know what you mean, next time I’m making a small.
My prayers for you! Sometimes an operation is not wise, especially at a specific age. Most doctors like to do surgery because of $$$. The experience of my mum was very painful and I had a lot of regrets. It didn’t really prolong her life. So, choose wisely and I wish you both a lot of strength! Take care! ❤
Prayers for you both
Tyvm
My thoughts are with you .

Much love to you and hubby ❤

Take care Abbey…🤗
I will keep you in my prayers. We need to depend on God as man will alway dissapoint us.

Yes it is, prayers to you
Dear Abbey. I was concerned when I didn't see you post. Please take care of yourself. You and your hubby are in my thoughts and prayers.
