You can get wider tracks for them, its just big dozers spend most of their time working in rock and wide tracks tend to break and also twist the chains a lot more causing more wear and tear on the undercarriage also if u are pushing scrapers you need your track shoes narrow enough to fit in side the scraper cut other wise u wear out the sides of the rollers and edges of the chains.
