Thanks for having me!
It was a fun interview. I appreciate you taking the time.
Hello 👋🏽 Is the screenwriting app exclusively for iOS devices?
Yes. However, we're working on launching an Android version in the near future.
Cool novel bro. I see all the hard work and I know firsthand. I did a fan fiction on my channel to find and show writers so we can collaborate with for a project
Thanks. Yes, screenwriting is hard work for sure. Would love to collaborate on something.
This is a shooting-script and not a screenplay.
I could only find this version.
thank you so much
You're very welcome. I hope you visit the library someday.
Where to get this movie?
It's available on Paramount+.
Keep grinding my brother!!!!
Thanks!
There’s no link in the description box🤲🏽
LOL! Thanks for pointing that out. I had to remove it. However, you can email me and I can share it with you. Email is in the description. For real this time. HA.
Just discovered this video...best wishes to you bro...following your story♥
Thank you! I have a new video series I'm excited about coming soon. Hope you will enjoy it.
28 seconds into the video I subscribed! Best wishes brotha!
Thank you!
well what the fuck am i supposed to do with this
This can be helpful if you're a screenwriter.
My trouble is writing dialogue to fill in the story. Would I be able to get in contact with you about some help? I think you’d be intrigued
Dialogue has always been something I struggled with, especially in the early beginnings of my writing journey. Yes, reach out to me, and let's chat. Contact is in the description.
did he order cheeseburger with coffee? Well, I'm not American but it sounds awful.
🤣Yes, he did. Wallace is the cheeseburger and coffee kind of guy.
Love this series!Keep it up.
Thanks Chaz! I will.
Why would innie one want to watch this? Not me. I’m interested in the movie nothing else!
The movie is great! The screenplay can help a writer learn the narrative process.
@@Stratword_ yes sir the movie was great but where’s the movie? I’m thinking this clickbait because I don’t know of innie screen writer’s. I’m thinking just post the movie and watch the subtitles and have two for one? At least let folks know that this is not a movie to watch!
When I was in film school, they used Tootsie and Chinatown for almost every example, but what would be the essential reads today?
Such a great question. If I had to guess, I would say anything Pixar-related.
What were your inspirations for writing this gritty police procedural? And speaking of flashbacks; what are the best and worst examples? Comedies often get away with flashbacks where dramas do not.
I was inspired by two films (Clockers and Strapped). I can't think of bad examples of flashbacks but I can definitely give you a good one; The Girl on the Train screenplay uses flashbacks superbly.
Good luck, keep writing... from a fellow writer who is a sloth
I know the feeling of taking too long to write something. Hopefully, every little bit of these videos motivates you to get some writing going.
@@Stratword_ Thanks ☺❤
aspiring writer here! keep posting vids like this, man
Thanks for the motivation. I originally planned on doing just one of these series. But I might keep it going.
Yessirski! Keep pushing my man!
Thanks. I will.
It’s so helpful seeing someone else write. Thank you for uploading
I'm enjoying this more than I thought I would. Glad you like it too.
A great resource, thank you!
My pleasure!
I’m so happy you joined the gym! 💪 keep it up on the screenplay
Thanks for the kind words.
Inception was a good one. What about EO? From the perspective of a Donkey.
I haven't watched that one yet. I'm going to try and find it.
Thanks for this!, Could you post Darabont's Indy script? I think it's called "Indiana Jones and the City of the Gods". Would have preferred that over Crystal Skull, but oh well!
Agreed! Really like the "Rounders" VO, and of course Galadriel (Cate Blanchett) kicks off LOTR. Agree with the SHOW DON"T TELL!
This is really helping me to understand the process. Keep it up!
Thank you!
Where do i get these??
A quick Google search will do the trick. You can also check out some amazing screenplays here as well gointothestory.blcklst.com/script-download-links-9313356d361c
@@Stratword_ thanks for replying
Awesome episode! Looking forward for more
Thanks! I'm enjoying doing this series of videos more than I thought I would.
Promo-SM 😚
That is one way to watch this movie
Where i am?
I think we'd do well when we connect...I love your work already
Thank you! Let's connect for sure.
I wished we saw the actual final draft of the screenplay. This is just the first draft which was okay but it would 100% cool if we saw the actual final draft
You have a great point. First drafts are typically very rough versions of the final product.
This is indeed the full screenplay of moneyball. No clickbait to be found.
I would never use clickbait! :)
@@Stratword_ what the point my nigha ?
Metal.
It's definitely the most different from the movie i've read so far. Whole scenes are just distorted.
Nice one - thanks
You're welcome.
Where do you get the version with names and scene descriptions?
There are many places with a Google search. One of which is the blog for the Blacklist called "Go Into the Story."
Wow The cinnamon topography is unreal
*Promo sm* 😆
This screenplay really likes to use underlining for emphasis. Usually scripts just do it for the dialogue, here it's all over the place, even when something is emphasized with ALL CAPS.
I would love to pick the writers' brains on this one to see what was the reason for this.
Originality is hard to quantify because I don't think there's a scale or spectrum for it. There's also the question of the difference between an original premise and how it's executed. You proposed some science fiction premises so I guess I'll throw in some original premises from non-sci-fi movies: Koyaanisqatsi, Celine and Julie Go Boating, My Dinner With Andre, The Game, Slacker, Boyhood, Adaptation, Rashoman, The Seventh Seal, Daisies, Valerie and Her Week of Wonders.
You make a great point about original premise and how it's executed. A great example of this is the film "In Time." Such an amazing premise but poorly executed.
