Algorithms having been mentioned here - can anyone enlighten me - recently all the stuff on the right is gone. Blank. On top of the blank space it says All; in this case the uploader; albums; ambient; related; similar. Click on any and the space remains blank. WTF is goin on?

This could work as the soundtrack to Mysterious Cities of Gold, some of the tracks are definitely the same style as that series from my childhood. Seems from reading the comments a few other people have those types of cartoons in our childhood. :D
This is what my 5 year old son asks to listen to to go sleep. I wish I could see what visions his mind conjours up whilst listening. He finds it hard to put into words.

Ambient and New Age are more like marketing terms than genres, really.
@@vonjunzt4130 you're probably correct in your assertion. At times there are clearly aural distinctions between the two, and at other times they're difficult to differentiate. Obviously, the early 80s new age, much of it anyway, has heavy traces of the equipment and instrumentation and technology of the time that are a telltale giveaway.
Old New Age makes for excellent Ambient releases, Klaus Wiese is a master of Ambient Meditative Drone.

@@_CoasterNinja I think like most of his works, it never did make it to CD. Only cd-r, by him or Oophoi, and rare as hen's teeth........
@@clangersspace2679 Strange it never got released on CD. Original release was 1987 right? Do you know why? Was it originally on vinyl and cassette, or cassette only?
@@_CoasterNinja None ever were on vinyl. Not many made it to CD. The very first, Baraka, was brought out on CD by Nextera(sp.?) in 2007? and one might have hoped he'd bring the next 8 or so (my faves) on CD also, but he too died a few years later. They were all originally cass only and cd-r, why only some made it to CD is unknown.......only that Klaus said he got only pennies from the releases.........guess they didn't sell much back in the day.
