Prost had the skill... Mansell had the guts... Senna had both... Greatest era of F1 racing, especially for Brazilians, since we had Senna and Piquet to cheer for. Today might be the most technologically advanced timeline, with some of the biggest champions and most skilled drivers, ever. But that era had something magical... Miss those days.

Mansell's "bulletproof" comment reminded me of a statement Alain Prost once made: "Ayrton has one major problem - he drives like he thinks he can't be killed!"

I believe it isn’t easy to compete as a Brazilian at the same level as Europeans. There’s always the feeling that we come from a very challeging background and we have to fight harder to get our place in the sun. I guess being young and obsessed with fullfilling his dream Senna came across as egocentric and may have done things that were not okay in Prost’s perspective… But Senna didn’t get the chance to get older and more mature ti give an interview explaining his actions and point of view then and now… So I think it is nice Alain see things this way… And for Senna, it is a shame he died so young… It always is… It makes wonder what could have happened to him if he had survived

We as kids in the 80s and early 90s, didn´t have tons of avengers movies, and loads of screen superheroes, but we had these real guys, Ayrton, Nigel, Alain, Nelson, Gerard and many others...., flesh and bone heroes risking their lifes at +300 kmh in 1200bhp fragile machines, wheel to wheel, throwing sparks everywhere...., Canon-Camel yellow blue williams, red white Marlboro mclarens, red ferraris, crazy Benetton liveries, turbos, then V12, V10s, some V8s, epic battles....., a really happy childhood for a young motorsport fan, unforgettable.

Tuero was injured after this crash and decided to retire from F1. Probably because of the fear of worse accidents but maybe also because of the shame of crashing into Takagi on purpose
