Hi, I am having hard time making choice between these classics , kenetrek or Scarpa fuego/wrangler, I work in telecommunications, spend good time on pole pegs.ladders, gaffing sometimes, I read some reviews about Hoffman classic saying, sole wear out fast, about kenetrek lineman boots saying not good for climbing, any opinion? I will really appreciate, thanks !
@@RajvirCalifornia I was able to get about 3 years out of the soles. Still running my second pair today. Good support, water barrier lifespan, and breathability (in that order) are what I look for. These boots check all three for me.
Hey brother. Curious on the sizing. I’ve owned 3 pairs of the powerlines and seems like for me ordering 1/2 size down has been the best fit. I have seem a few reviews on the classics that recommend ordering 1/2 up. Although Hoffman doesn’t have any recommendations on them. In your opinion did you feel the need to order up or down a size? Also is the toe box more narrow than normal? Thanks.
I ordered 1/2 size down from my normal shoe size and they fit well. If your looking to wear thicker socks in winter I would recommend ordering your normal size. The toe box is more narrow than the Powerline boots, but still have plenty of room for comfort. These boots are still kicking today. They have held up extremely well.
Still wearing the same boots today. They’re my choice above all others I’ve had (Wescos, Hall’s, Thorogoods, Redwing). The wear on these have been great. Still dry, no sole separation. If I had to buy another set today, this would be my choice.
Nice review. How has it been since then ? Are they easy to break in.? The vibrsm sole looks aggressive and are they hard n slippery when u walk on wet rocks or wet tiles in a restaurant. Thanks n looking forward to your reply or review of this Hoffman boots
Break-in only took a couple of weeks and was not bad at all. I ordered 1/2 size smaller than normal and they fit nicely. The sole is stiff but the tread offers plenty of grip. I plan to do a follow up review soon and will include some of the questions I’ve received. Thanks for yours!
They look like they are built very similar to the Kenetrek mountain guide boots. The also use the one piece vamp which allows for the leather to take on the shape of the foot better. They are also a rigid boot from heel to toe. The Hoffman looks like a great boot.
Kenetrek makes a fantastic boot and are my choice for hunting boots. These Hoffman boots have offered similar support and stability for every day work so I couldn’t be happier with them.
This will be my first boot with the “SympaTech” waterproof inner lining. I’m hopeful the breathability of this boot is what most people would look for. I plan to have a 3 month follow-up review to this unboxing.

How have these been now that you’ve had them quite a while?
Great boots. Still wearing the same pair today.
Great video. Can you give a follow up on the boots performance? I’m debating on purchasing these.

Do these boots fit true to size or did you have to order a 1/2 size up or down?
I ordered 1/2 size down from my normal. After break-in, I still feel like this was the best choice.
Love the boots

Great looking boots. I like your drawl. Happy New Year to you.
How would you say they handle those with hotter feet? I have had a heck of a time finding shoes or boots that let my feet breath.
