Nature Friendly Farming Network
United Kingdom
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 10 ส.ค. 2019
The Nature Friendly Farming Network (NFFN) is a membership organisation for farmers, providing a strong voice for sustainable food and farming in the UK. The NFFN’s work is to support farmers at every stage of their journey towards nature-friendly farming. Through showcasing the experiences of farmers who are leading the way, they share knowledge that empowers those in transition to produce plentiful food. Nature-friendly farmers all over the UK are doing so in ways that mitigate climate change, reverse biodiversity decline and safeguard the future of UK agriculture.

Climate thinking How farms are integrating climate change into their plans
มุมมอง 35610 หลายเดือนก่อน
With increasing attention on farming’s role in addressing climate change, there's a growing demand for farmers to demonstrate how they are reducing farm emissions while increasing carbon storage on their land. But amidst a breadth of conflicting advice and often confusing data collection, getting started on the process can be daunting. What is clear, however, is the need for farmers to urgently...
A modern take on traditional farming with Claire Pollock

Fair play to you important to leave room for nature
Nice to see all the hard work showing results
Impressive project. Good man Kenneth
Excellent project
God, bless your holy name and your plan and that we can see your plan in action in our lives in Jesus name. Amen 🙏
good example of collaborative works with the farmer, GWCT and RSPB - with a range of outcomes from increased insects and carbon store. Oh, and nice to see some conifers in the landscape!
Very good idea.
One of the most wonderful human beings.
Your video is wonderful and very informative. I love watching your video. But you can not get organic view and subscriber. I have some suggestion for you
❤
Very well done you and your family are doing a terrific job
Beautiful!
A good story, well told Helen. Natural and more sustainable fibres are back in demand. Have a look at work to re-establish commercial scale flax growing and processing in Fife Scotland in 2023/2024.
wonderful farmer. I wish they were all like this.
Beautiful, your ideas sound viable and ethical. Permaculture is the way forward. Best wishes from Lancashire.
There are lots of great farmers and ranchers that are moving to regenerative grazing. Check out "Roots So Deep" and others. Problem is, those healthy and natural systems won't make the agri chemical companies any money....
You're a brave couple Goodonyez 👌 😍
Very informative and moreover it makes sense and is more healthy for everything.
Very nice great you are working together with nature 😊
Really important work - setting an example
What a brilliant way to farm and I'm sure a happy and fulfilling way too.
A few trees sown amid the rushes will improve drainage at the expense of most of the rushes. Trees need tree guards in early years or animals will eat them or break them.
What was the Cambridge study that showed 80% N reduction ?
Which season can I plant flax is it in sunny or raining season.how many flax do we have
This is very helpful news. Convincing the program was right when they entitled it "Leave it to Bever".
Nice one!
What excellent work!
Excellent work Ruth, Paul & I wish you every success for your future development of the farm. Shirley
Fantastic work - wishing you all every success in all your sustainability adventures - can't beat Milk Parlour ice-cream, can't wait to try the soap 🥰
Really enjoyed watching this Ruth. Look forward to the next episode ❤
Righe and farrow fields before dug ditches and 7:22 7:22 farrows you had cut in stone
Great stuff, good luck with the weanlings
Love the way you are working with nature on your farm and obviously enjoying it so much.
What a beautiful farm and I love the way you live in tune with mother nature.
I think you're farming the right way and your land will go on improving into the future and you will make more profit without using all the usual agricultural chemicals. Good luck to you.
Found this via the Wild Justice newsletter and I will happily support it.
Any opportunity to work there sir
I really enjoyed this the other day. Really useful content. Could some of the links that were included in the webinar be placed in this video description?
Great content, really enjoyed this video, thanks
Lovely video, you are doing wonderful work with your properties
Wonderful effort and great results, let's not forget most farming relies on a chemical cocktail.
thank you everyone
re: Dock control. As mentioned docks in permanent grazed pasture do contribute positively to the diet of grazing livestock, but again as was said, their presence is a symptom of soil compaction etc Just like to share a fellow "Pasture for Life" farmer friend of mine, encourage & introduced the proliferation of native "Green Dock Beetle" (Gastrophysa viridula) as a form of dock bio-control. I believe at one point had an University undergrad student monitoring the beetles effectiveness, in reducing docks. From my own personal observations (during one of his farm walks), one area of docks had a "lace like" appearance from being munched by the said beetle.
