Scenic highway 7 is so beautiful ! I took my Gypsy van through there to go to the Crystal Mines. Cool little Village, love the little Granny ! I have verizon and I had no signal all the way through the scenic 7 til I got to Petite Jean State Park and then only at the lodge.

We have a senior citizen in our party of 4 and I worry there will be no chairs/ umbrellas left when we arrive at the beach. What are your thoughts in that time slot?

Congrats on your success of getting out in your Ford Econoline Van. Love the fact that you are keeping it simple. I like simple. I don't need a $250,000 Camper Van that's virtually designed to Leak & fall apart on me as I use it, & neither do you. By keeping it simple you folks will have so much more time together to enjoy the great outdoors together. I loved the scenery on your intro. I live up in WI & yes we get the fall colors too. I was in search of a campervan for my weekends up a Road America. It is a 4.1 mile Road Course which is nestled up in The Kettle Morine Forest, & offers some of the most iconic auto & motorcycle racing you could ever see. I usually get the season pass & try & make all the races during the year & do my best to campout at the track, as the racing programs are usually 3-4 days & start at 8 AM sharp lasting until about 5PM. I did at one point own a Dodge Camper Van, which I loved, but it ended up with a rusty frame which deemed it no longer was safe for the traveling. I than resorted to camping out in my 2021 Toyota 4Runner. That was a little crampy for space, but comfy enough for a Thurs thru Sun weekend & it held all my camping gear, & I manipulated a bed for the back out of some bed foam fitting from Walmart. It worked as it's just me & I found the setup comfortable enough to sleep. I had a decent tent, but at 66, I just don't like crawling around on the ground anymore. I now own a 2023 Dodge Ram Pro Master 2500 159 High Top Van that I recently found for sale with 36K miles. That will be my cozy Van life starter upper. Right now, it's just the two seats up front & the rest is cargo van ready for whatever build or design I can come up with, racing starts in May. A simple bed design & room for a couch (Maybe find a sleeper couch) & I'm even thinking a Lazy Boy Recliner, the room is there but would have to work on securement. The key is that your chariot is comfortable for Jim & Val. That's what counts. If your travels ever bring you up into WI, we have cool camp sites available for reasonable pricing on lakes that have fish in them, so check us out. Bring you fishing poles, or if you like auto racing, check out Road America up in Elkhart Lake, WI, right outside of Plymouth, WI. About the toilet issues, consider a Porta-Potty. I am an over the road trucker by trade & have over 30 years living in various tractors driving for various companies. I would highly suggest a Port-A-Potty which are small convenient toilets. Check them out on Amazon. Most run from $30.00 - $200 depending on type of toilet. I've had a cassette style portable toilet that's at least 20 years old. I wouldn't be out on the road without it. I drag the smelly ole thing with me every where I go. Ha, ha got you. They are just like the toilets at home & very easy to clean & the cassettes don't leak & can be dumped in any restroom. They are small & convenient & very easy to store & hideaway in little cubby holes in the van. It's not as yucky as most might think it is & well worth the investment. As far as the Port-A-Johns at various locations, look on Amazon for toilet seat covers. That's a must. Also those Port-A-Johns make a perfect spot for emptying a Port-A-Poty Cassette. It sure beats a coffee can. I seen your Jackery. I also have a 1500 Wat Solar Battery Pack, & also a EU2000 Generator, that came tucked away in the older Dodge Van that I had. Both work great for my power needs, but I'm consider upgrading. Right now Solar Batteries & Panels seem pretty expensive, so I'm holding off there. I love camping out & to be able to do it. I have a portable 2 burner Coleman stove that I love. I get up early & fill the air with Hickory Smoked Bacon. Jim I would like to thank you for your service to our country. As a Disabled Veteran, you stood up to the challenge of risking life & limb to protect your Country. Thank you for all you have sacrificed over the years, & I hope you Econoline Van helps to bring some serenity & beauty into your life.
