Dude you are SO good at playing Fahey
thanks!
thanks!
I remember the first time I ever saw him play that on that recording of the Hamburg performance here on TH-cam. Totally rocked my world. You really play it very well. Congrats!!
Really enjoyed your cover of this. Springtime and Owchita are 2 of my favorite songs and it’s rare to see someone play any fahey tunes, let alone a whole channel. Keep up the great work!
Thank you!
I love this John Fahey channel I've come across!
Beautiful....
Amazing! And the size/playability of those GS mini's are the only way i'd have the confidence/ability to pull something off like this; that's just me but they are fantastic guitars, like your playing.
thank you!
great fingerstyle blues warm congrats for the technique and super playing.***
Thank you!😀
What kind of pickup is that ?
is a lavalier microphone plugged directly into smartphone
great fingerstyle bravissimo.***
Thank you!
oh no words excellent you remind me the great elmore james totall my respect-cordial greetings.***
thank you!
Love this tune!
Thanks!
Excellent. Fahey based this in the main theme from the Indian movie Pather Panchali (sp) by Sajiyat Ray.
Sounds like you really took me back to listening to those old recordings. The guitar you’re using sounds to be PERFECT for what you’re playing. Totally awesome.
thank you!

Masterfully done.
Hey there, what tuning is that? Amazing playing btw. John Fahey is one of my biggest inspirations
Is standard tuning played in G chord only.
Wonderfully played. I’ve been wanting to learn this song for a while now, and seeing you play helped me out a ton. Thanks for posting
I'm happy for you, thanks
Amazing
This should have a lot more views. Very nicely done.
thanks
Great job🎸
Good playing! Very clean!
Ive been playing this song for years and after hearing your version ive realized its back to the drawing board for me ! ...Loved it !...Cant wait to play with some of the embellishments youve shown !!!! awesome
Thank you!
Bravo, arrangiamento molto bello. Roberto Ciotti mai ricordato abbastanza
grazie!
Why record if twice? Though I still prefer the first one, this one, because of that nice tone is growing on me. What kind of guitar is that?
thank you. The guitar is a Yamaha SLG200N silent guitar.
Terrific title, well played.
thanks
Well played! I only wish the lighting was better so I could see you left hand more clearly.
thanks! next time I try to illuminate better
A how how how.....
boom boom boom boom :-)
Hi. I really like your version of this John Fahey song. Lovely tone and pacing. You play it your own way. John would have liked this. Cheers.
thanks
nice one! tuning?
thanks open d
Really nice.
Thank you
well played! A couple of problems: not enough fluidity. Some moves and notes stray too far from the original. I think you should try to play with Fahey from the records together and you will hear exactly where. Then, be patient and try to find the correct notes. Otherwise, you play great!
thanks for the compliment. As for the differences between this cover of mine and the original, you are right, but I did not intend to exactly remake the notes of Fahey, this is my interpretation and therefore it is how I feel this song. Some variations have been added for this purpose. Thank you
Nice job sir
thanks
Ain't finger picking fun!
I was singing it !! Whyga stop. 🤠 Good stuff 👍🏼
Thank you!
That was wonderful!!!
Thank You!
Really terrific job on this. Rock solid tempo and clean playing. Much enjoyed. Dave
Thank you
Are there tabs for this? Id love to learn it!
sorry, don't have a tab, but the tune is open C: CGCGCE
do you know if the pather panchali theme song inspired fahey into creating this piece.... it is beautiful
thank you. I don't know, but I think Fahey saw the movie in the states and was impressed with the music and then composed this song. Unfortunately without mentioning Ravi Shankar ...
holy shit, man.
This song is just so incredible, so sad and haunting
Thank you, we have to thank Jphn Fahey!
Really clean! I’m using this version to learn how to play the tune, you set a great example!
you are welcome!
después de esta pandemia, puedes venir a tocar en las calles de la vieja ciudad de quebec, canadá, conmigo y con amigos músicos.
@@toddjaxon3441 I would like to, but I live in Italy...
