Türkiye in Autumn // bicycle touring adventure
Our cycle tour straight through the heart of (türkiye).

We entered through Greece and left through Georgia.
Group dynamic changed as much as the scenery did throughout this country.
Generosity, kindness, welcome, beautiful scenery and amazing experiences left a permanent mark on our being while traveling through türkiye.
It was a rugged, tough, hot and cold adventure staying outside and sometimes inside when we were offered. When we weren’t offered, some nights fire was a necessity to keep us warm in the morning.
Some moments were the hardest adventures I’ve endured but it’s safe to say I’d do it all again in a heartbeat
Our favorite country travelled by a long way.

Cycling Istanbul with Sofia // city shredding on a touring bike

Exploring Istanbul by bike. Wild city with a lot of people. It’s difficult to ride fast sometimes as there is so much going on. A huge city that is 3x bigger than London. I got directions up on my phone to find cool places and we were tourists for a day. The only way to really see a city is ride through it. Shout out to our boy Justin for lending me his GoPro for the ride.

Our short journey through Greece and our final country of Europe. Not much really happened in Greece, our route wasn’t a particularly exciting one, it was just a means of getting to turkey. We could have taken more time and a longer route but time was against us with weather across turkey. Although not as exciting, I hope you enjoy. And stay tuned for the next instalment: Turkey!

Sofia sends it into Istanbul. This road is not for the faint hearted. It got even wilder but I wasn’t prepared to ride one handed while filming during the really crazy parts. The fourth country of our second leg of world tour. Kosovo was cold and gloomy, our first taste of cold weather touring. A very strange country too, very poor and lots of derelict and unfinished buildings. The scenery wasn’t great but what truly made this country what it was for us was the friendliness of the locals. Cruising around with Sofia and her dosnoventa. I got a new phone and wanted to test out the camera. All shot on my iPhone 11. What a beautiful day to play around and get a cool video. Golden hour hits different on the bike! We then ended with a chill cruise with Friday night pirates club.

im not sure what is 'cool' about riding busy streets , carelessly , running red lights etc, all while wearing no helmet!....its no wonder us cyclists get a bad rep!!

I watched earlier (and preferred) the uncut edit as it’s 30mins long and the flow between intersections is even better. Perfect Floyd track too
I found that occasional little rattle rather comforting, like a quiet Brompton. Love how he glides through intersections and irrespective of red lights there’s always room to manoeuvre.

It’s just a bit of fun mate, following my pal for a handful of drops. It’s also a 6 minute video. Can’t really tell much about a days work in 6 minutes. Pretty impressive that you can tell how much someone is sweating by watching a video of them about 5-10 meters in front of me. Lighten up, it ain’t a competition xx

stopped watching when you jumped the red light. the rest of the cycling community hates you for that. it's what causes friction between cyclist and motorists.

It's clear that everyone in this video is just getting on with their lives, with somewhere to go, except the two dicks on bikes riding in an obnoxious way for the clicks. You could do this just as quickly without pissing this many people off..
