God this song suits them so well because they brought out the bitter sweetness of it instead of just the regret. How they were given a 2nd chance and fulfil every single line of the chorus, but just like the song goes, "in another life". It was them against the world. Lanzhan did get Weiying to stay, and so he no longer had to say, he was the one that got away. I always thought this song suit them (being one of my top favs ever since it came out), and now with this fmv it gave me another perceptive of it. THANK YOU FOR THIS MASTERPIECE!!

Ok but this fits Wangxian so well and honestly my heart is weeping T-T "Summer after high school where we first met" Not after but they met in school at Cloud Recesses(unless u count them meeting as kids but that wasn't mentioned in CQL) "We got matching tattoos" Lan Zhan branded himself with the Wen Symbol just to remember Wei Ying's sacrifice for Mian Mian, to brand himself with a reminder of his soulmate "Used to steal your parent's liquor and climb to the roof" Their first real encounter was their fight on the roof over the two jars of Emperor's smile Wei Ying brought, and in Wei Ying's second life Lan Zhan was revealed to keep 8 jars of Emperor's smile as a reminder of him, and when he returned Lan Zhan let him drink as much as he wanted to make up for the 13 years.
