Retired in Oklahoma gives you a chance to see what we are doing around the homestead. There are always remodeling project that we have to tackle. In addition, we are presented with unique weather challenges that we deal with. Finally we have fun while telling our stories.
Oh No, Termites?
After 20+ years, our home is needing termite treatment.
When homes in Oklahoma are initially built, they receive they're initial treatment. Yearly we get the home inspected for pesky creatures by Rural Pest Solutions. In addition we get the home treated every 90 days for pests such as spiders, pedes, ants and such. During one such quarterly treatment, what we thought was an ant problem turned into a might have been a bigger problem.

Customized Rebuild - Bathroom Remodel PT2

In this video we rebuild the bathroom adding a customized shower while closing out the location of the old shower. Our vendor Baths by Shay does an outstanding job. Our glass from 'The Shower Door Source' comes in and finishes the shower. This completes the bathroom rebuild.

In this episode I build a cedar trellis over our 4X8 garden box. The plan is to have vegetable grow above and below. Plants that can handle the sun will shade plants below.
One Day Concrete Patio Replacement
