Lost the hood scoop, im a follower…..
Needs steelies with dog dish hubcaps.
Put hideaway headlights in it
@@RonNorman-ie1nv it has hideaways. I just keep them open. I’ll fix the auto feature some day. Right now I have to power them manually
Sweet car
Black steelys look good everything but I would put factory wheels on at a show
@@cidbidds5569 my friends have factory wheels on their cars. I like the fat tires. Stay tuned for my other car I have a different wheel choice for that car. Sadly no factory wheel tire combo for me.
Great car show Rusty thanks for taking time to show us all
Thanks for taking us along, one of these I will make it to the Taber Show
You're not going to spend a whole hell of a lot of money but you're going to get a decent car something you could be proud to drive and like a cruise night or something
Beautiful car
Gran Fury rather than “Grand” Fury - my mother drove a brand new one in Jasmine Yellow - we took many trips in it from east Texas to Houston
Beautiful car
This is when Mopar lost its way in the mid 60's. These were great mechanical and driver experiance cars 😊 But they were between two era's the SUPER Virgil Exxner Era and the Fuselage design era...the best thing that came out of this generation of Imprrials was the famous Green Hornet TV series car from the master George Barris....
Oh yeah luck you!!!!
Put new rear springs in it
Sounds like an Imperial should sound! I had this car - triple-gold 4-door hardtop with full leather - 50 years ago! I averaged 18 mpg 'on the road' and 'bout 14 dorking around running errands 'in town'
Original unrestored 👍
Solid 👍
Subscribed 👍
It sure would look nice with some whitewalls and the original wheel covers. I know 15" tires are getting to be hard to find. Great job on the revival!
Nice car, I had a light blue one back in the late 80's. I've owned a lot of Imperials over the years and like the older one's more than the 66.
Great video and thanks for not adding any goofy music to it
My mom had the same year, model and I believe the same paint. I had fun tricking my friends with the floor mounted (above the dimmer switch) radio scan button. ;-) At the same time, my dad had a 69 Chrysler 300 (green over green). I believe it being green and having a large round gold sticker on the door prevented me from getting a speeding ticket... twice, on a road by a military firing range (generals son = paper work?).
We are having all Mopar car show on August 17th, 2024, at Capitol Hill Community Center 1521 22. Ave NW Calgary Alberta Canada
I love it!
I have a 1964 Imperial Crown Coupe 2-door…. First year of the body style! Staten Island, New York. 😉
64 is best year of Imperial
Beautiful, cheers
A great car. I had one of these, white with a black top, years ago.
From the Portland Craigslist, he doesn't address the "66 only" part, the ad has been up for a long time... 2 1966-1971 Chrysler Imperial 15 inch Hubcaps - $75 (F.G) dings and dents but usable. 75.00 for both.
You need to be sure it's actually a 66. The 67-69 caps look much like the 66, but the valve stem hole is outside the basket on those while 66 is inside the basket. You can make them work, but they bend the valve stem inviting a failure.
I love Imperials! Guess the algorithm knows that. Keep them running!
That Imperial is in amazing condition.
Nice! I've got a '66 Imp rag top. These run and drive so nice!
@@patrickdean7244 I’ve only had it a week now and I’m loving it
King of the road. Good stuff mate
@@cidbidds5569 really nice ride for my first trip to town
5200 lbs of steel. Single piece welded front clip. Rubber isolated body mounts. These the most quiet, isolated Chryslers ever built, until perhaps some models of the FMJ cars. A real pleasure to travel in.
If you have an interest, there's a set of green leather '66 Imperial Crown 4dr seats somewhere in Oregon for sale on Craigslist, I think it was a hundred obo
@@HelpingHand-ic4wt hi. I took a look and couldn’t find anything. If you find a link let me know Thanks
@@Rustyclassicsgarage shoot it was there like a day ago. Nope, not there now for me either. I'll keep my eye open, maybe he'll renew it or something.
Knowing these cars, I started at 99% sure its a cross country cruiser out of the box. That 2 tone interior is pretty nice, they actually used embroidery machines for that fancy scrollwork. Pull the rear speaker fader knob down to see if it has the reverberator option, it is unlabeled and some people never realize their Imperial has it.
Must admit the Austin looked real nice, but think it could be better with a nice paint job, but thats just my opinion 😂😂😂😂😂
That's a beauty! Chrysler transmissions don't pump transmission fluid in park. You should shift it in neutral so that the transmission will circulate the fluid and lube the internals.
What a find.
audio not good

Nice old Imperial.
She's alive😂😂 good car wow
Woe some real nice trucks the purple one was real nice with the car back end
Some really cool cars there
Is this still available?
@@raddy8898 yes it is. Located near Vulcan Alberta
Bring on the C body 😎
Title like that and don't try to get it running?? Tease much lol
You gotta keep the bench seat. The vinyl sections don't look too bad and replacing the blown fabric sections can work out cheap
Wow some real nice motors on show thanks for showing us
Looks like fun
