    There's no reason people should be as wasteful as we are

      Great comment! 🌱 Did you know that composting is like giving a superpower to your kitchen scraps? 💪 Instead of sending food waste to the landfill, where it just sits and produces harmful methane gas, you can transform it into nutrient-rich soil that helps your plants thrive! 🌿 It's a simple way to reduce your carbon footprint, save money on fertilizers, and grow healthier plants. Plus, it's an awesome way to give back to the planet. 🌍 So, why not start composting today and turn your trash into treasure? Let's make the world greener, one compost bin at a time! ♻💚

    A plastic road vs concrete. Either all plastic is fine, or you need the structural integrity of all concrete.

    • @HarvestingWisdomPodcast
      @HarvestingWisdomPodcast 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Several countries are using plastics to make roads. First up, India. They've been pioneers in this field, with states like Tamil Nadu and Kerala leading the way. They've even got a mandate to use plastic in national highway construction. Next, the Netherlands. They've got this cool 'PlasticRoad' project where they use modular panels made entirely of recycled plastic. Talk about innovation! The UK is also on board, with companies like MacRebur using recycled plastic in roads across the country, from Cumbria to Edinburgh. Australia’s cities like Sydney and Melbourne are joining the movement, exploring ways to integrate plastic waste into their road construction. In the US, states like California are running pilot projects to mix plastic waste with asphalt for more durable roads. South Africa and Canada are also getting into the act, using recycled plastic in various regions and provinces to build stronger, more sustainable roads. And let’s not forget Indonesia, tackling their plastic waste problem head-on by incorporating it into their infrastructure. It's incredible to see how these countries are turning trash into tarmac and paving the way for a greener future. Keep those questions coming, and stay curious

    How can someone be so sounding?Scientific and intelligent and still Be a climate zealot. How can? You have critical thinking and not be aware that since the 1789 to today.There is no change in the weather and storm patterns throughout the world. But she's probably one of those people who think that the entire planet has the same climate eco system. That the entire climate's different at the polls than it is at the equator. That decline it's different on the northern hemisphere. She probably doesn't know that the Aurora borealis. But the fact is that the Sun has been producing this plasma.It has been entering the atmosphere and has created these gas since the beginning of time. And if it wasn't depleted naturally then we would have special gills to filter it out. And the whole that it has at the top of the Earth.It's caused by a magnetic pole and this plasma entering earth's atmosphere. It's not something that man Did . It is an Act of nature. Also, get ready because of the activity of sun spots on the Sun surface.It's going to start getting really cold. I know that's confusing to you.Narcissist, who seem to think that the Earth is A. Could you not shred the plastic to add to concrete to strengthen it?

    • @HarvestingWisdomPodcast
      @HarvestingWisdomPodcast 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Adding shredded plastic to concrete offers several significant benefits, contributing to both environmental sustainability and material performance. Firstly, this innovative approach helps address the global plastic waste problem by diverting plastic from landfills and oceans, thus reducing environmental pollution. Incorporating plastic waste into concrete also conserves natural resources by reducing the need for traditional aggregates like sand and gravel, promoting a more sustainable use of materials. Additionally, concrete mixed with shredded plastic can exhibit enhanced durability and crack resistance, as the plastic fibers help improve the material's flexibility and toughness. This results in longer-lasting structures with lower maintenance costs over time. Economically, utilizing readily available plastic waste can be cost-effective, especially in regions with high plastic waste generation and disposal costs. Overall, adding shredded plastic to concrete not only supports waste management and resource conservation but also enhances the performance and longevity of concrete structures.

    The lesser evil is to just burn the plastic thoroughly to generate electricity. Putting it on the ground is just prolonging the inevitable. Which is, it will ultimately end up in the ground water and then to the ocean in micro form.

    • @HarvestingWisdomPodcast
      @HarvestingWisdomPodcast 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You've got it! Burning plastic thoroughly to generate electricity is indeed better than just putting it back in the ground. It's like choosing to deal with a single mischievous raccoon now rather than a whole pack of them later. Too bad we have to pick between the lesser of two evils. Who knew environmental decisions would feel like choosing the least chaotic toddler to babysit?
