The International Ballet Academy (IBA) offers an environment where children and adults can explore diverse dance forms - from Classical Ballet to American Jazz to Tap, Modern, and Historical or Character dance - and where they can express their creativity and beauty through dance.
We educate our students in classical dance technique based on the Vaganova Method, as well as develop an environment where they can cultivate an appreciation for the culture, history, music, and theater experience that transforms dance movement into performance art. Our disciplined training enables all students to strengthen their bodies and minds, which in turn nurtures a healthy self-esteem, strong mental focus, and balance in many facets of their life.

Backstage at IBT (World Ballet Day 2018)
In honor of World Ballet Day 2018, join the International Ballet Theatre as they take you behind the curtain for a glimpse backstage during their 2017 productions of Dracula and The Nutcracker.
Dracula is an IBT original production and a cult-classic ballet of the Puget Sound, having mesmerized audiences with its dark and mystifying drama of love for over a decade. With its diverse fusion of classical ballet and Eastern European folk rhythms, as well as modern and contemporary styles of dance, this Bram Stoker-inspired production is the perfect way to celebrate Halloween.
Yet our Nutcracker cannot be more different. It is an event of enchantment and wonder that not only brings the whole family together but imbues the heart of each audience member with the magic of Christmas. With world-renowned talent and exquisite hand-made costumes and sets, the IBT blends pure talent and passion, making The Nutcracker come alive like never before.
