Not a big fan of death metal music with orchestral enhancements, but it works well here. Dimmu is legendary and this massive wall of power and sonic fireworks is one of their best!

I began listening to Pantera on the literal day Vulgar came out. Guitar World gave it five stars (or another mag), so I walked a few blocks, bought Vulgar, brought it home, smoked some weed, out the stereo on as high as I was, and let it rip. I was about sixteen. My gods. That was 1992, I think. Since then, I've listened to them at least four times a week, and saw them ten times. I was drinking in a bar in Baltimore called Raphaels when I saw the report about Dime. Tonight I was able to take myself back to the early days of my listening to Pantera. How they changed my mindset is, is the words of the great Phil himself, "unexplainable". Pantera, RATM, and later on, 2Pac (who every metalhead should listen), made me who I am today. And that's a long, long way from the individual I was, growing up how I unfortunately did.

Underrated song of theirs.

The last of their epic albums. ‘The Sound of White Noise’ is awesome, but the… Times were different back then.

I miss 9th grade concerts my older brother would take me to.

Very few albums in my 45 years have meant as much to me as Orchid and Morningrise, but especially Orchid. The first Black Sabbath album and Sabotage, Dissection's Storm of the Light's Bane, Seasons in the Abyss, And Justice For All, Individual Thought Patterns, the Bleeding...but ORCHID is genuinely my fav album ever I believe.

Kinda hate this, but I am amazed by how far ahead of their time they were. I took my nieces to see some bands like this and that was around 2002. All 4 bands sounded like this. Not my thang, but I'm kina impressed. I'm something of a fan of nearly every genre through out the history of recorded music and I don't think I've ever heard a band that was somewhere around 20 years ahead of their peers. Motorhead were the Beatles compared to this.
