Glad you love it! My a6700 is a side flip and I’ve forced myself to get used to it….

I tried to simplify eight months ago or so and switched everything to a Sony A6700 so sold my smaller camera and my full frame A7c. Not perfect, but most of the newer iPhones are good enough and good lighting to get the quick 30 to 45 second clip if you need it. But it is really hard to go wrong these days with cameras based on all the technology that are built into these things . For the price and pocket ability it’s really tough to beat the ZV series cameras, especially because of the built-in microphones that are made to capture great audio if you do video.

Yo! The older RX 100 series cameras were actually photo cameras not video so yes great all-around cameras to capture snaps of the kids!

I could never get used to the zv-1….great camera and features but rx100 all the way!

Both great cameras and in a league of their own. That RX series is one of a kind and can’t go wrong. I’m still partial to the VA (larger aperture at tele end f/2.8 let’s in more light plus has the ND filter) but depends on if you are photo first or video first!

Both are the same….same sensor and stabilization (not amazing but usable)!

If mainly video, VA all the way! If mainly pics, you’ll get more reach with the VI or VII. Can’t go wrong with either but VA is special for video fasho!

For mostly pics, go with the -7, way longer zoom range. The -5a has a fast WA lens, and has built-in ND filters.

Hey! That camera was my A7c with the Tamron 20-40 f/2.8 I believe! Since changed back to apsc and running with the Sony a6700 + Sony 15 f/1.4!

yeah because of the form factor, larger 1 inch sensor and the 70mm zoom but you could go with the x100vi or vii that has the longer 200mm lens!

Still my absolute favorite camera of all time. By the way…it’s magical when you shoot with flash regardless of daytime or night!

Hey Todd! If you are prioritizing taking photos then def go with the mk7 for the longer reach on the lens! TBH you can’t go wrong with that series of camera though! But that 200mm will come in handy!

I haven’t used the hdmi actually so not sure there!

Hey…i no longer have an x100v but i remember that the audio settings were nothing special. I did typically run it with the screen up (vlog style) and glued on some deadcat windmuffs and it help a bit!

@@ryanfromDetroit Did the windmuffs also help with indoors as well? I don't have any wind in my house but if it will help reduce all of the ambient noise why not.

VA has the better menu system, upgraded color science and that’s about it!

You got this! I run approx 4-5 miles every other day at this point. Average around 20-25 miles per week and excited to run more as it warms up!

Yo Luke! Congrats man….I’ve had lots of cameras and for so many reasons this one is the my forever cam. No real dust issues but I just let it ride. I litearlly blow on the lens sometimes but other than that i just figure if one day it’s a problem, I’ll try to find another one! Small sensors with small body cameras so not great overall compared to an actual large body camera with IBIS but gets the job done!
