What kinds of fabric would you suggest for kaftans? I'm super into linen right now but idk if that would work.
Any fabric really, it just depends on the feel and look you're going for. I used cotton for this

I couldn't quiet make out what's happening because the waistband is the same pattern as the skirt so it all just looks like soup to me

Your Kaftan is beautiful. I am a larger (plus size woman). Should I get more material or is this kind of a one size fits all pattern?
I'm tempted to say it's a one size fits all but I'd recommend to use your measurements to be on the safe side ☺️

I have quite a bit of 100% cotton fabrics that have zero stretch that I thought about using to make this, or what did you use or recommend? Thank you?
It's amazing what you can achieve with just a few measurements 💕💕 thank you. I'm not sure what the exact composition of the fabric is, I guess it's a mix of chiffon/cotton. You can definitely use cotton fabric for the style

@@MadeByDeola my cloth gets collected at the side in the curve it's not neat
I see. In that case, what you can do is mark your sewing allowance onto the fabric around that area and use that as your guide....it should not pull together. And snip around the curve area once finished

Waist measurement minus a few inches maybe 3"
How did you make the pleats?
By using a gathering stitch to pull them together
