Hello my name is Richard.
My channel is based entirely on my love of model making.
I have tendancies to build kits that i like the look of. So ships, planes, trucks, figures, fantasy figures which have also played a role in my Hobby will appear from time to time. So look out for those. It is a great hobby so if you feel enthused go out and grab yourself a kit and get started.

Ok this is the final of my buddy build with @alwoodsmodellingmayhem for the 80th anniversary of Corsairs from VMF 114 landing on the island of Pelilieu during the pacific campaign in Sept of 44. as it is an 80th anniversary it is also a group build entry into @charlie418791 group build.

I have been tempted to get that Harrier myself Rick, but like you I prefer WW2 stuff. The Catalina I built a while back but used the Airfix decals from their kit so I could do a Brit variant. The 1:24 P47 is huge and will be an impressive build when you have finished with it. Great stash adds mate.👏👏
The harrier was the only modern aircraft I’ve ever really liked. I think it was because it could take off vertical instead of just running down the runway and there is nothing like the sight & sound of a ww2 aircraft. I’m actually looking forward to the Catalina as it’s another one that I can sink some weathering techniques on. Looking through the box on the 1/24 jug for its size some of it is very basic and very softly detailed. 👍✌🏻
I can honestly say Rick that that is a fantastic result!!! I really do like what you have done with the paintwork and weathering mate it looks so good. 👏👏👏👏I can tell you now, mine won't look anywhere near as good. Well done sir. 👍👍😉

Hi Rick. I completed a 1/24 P-47 Razorback recently and have the bubbletop version. Overall shape is accurate. Fit is acceptable. Some small mods to fit the wings tight to the fuselage. There is a lack of finer details that are expected in this scale but these kits have a lot of improvement potential. I always thin the trailing edges of flight surfaces, propellors and cowl flaps to be scale accurate. A majority of the build on the Razorback was in modifying the outer surfaces. Posed in flight I did not have to improve on the gear and bays. With a polished metal finish many flush rivet details needed to be added. If interested, there are reveal videos posted on my channel of the P-47.

The e-boat is a pig with fitment issues on the hull. Started it a while ago and it’s sitting on the shelf until I can be bothered to correct it 👍✌🏻

I saw another TH-cam channel do this with his aircraft as a 3Dimensional portrait and I thought I’ll give it a go. Also gets my aircraft of the shelf and on the wall👍✌🏻

I loved building models when I was young. They were $.50 for entry level kits from People's Drug Store. Was absolutely horrible at it with glue everywhere and paint never used. Decals right on the plastic. Great job with this build so far, looking forward to finishing it.
I was the same when I started building kits no paint complete glue bombs and decals on the plastic. My first kit was a matchbox Lysander are you building kits now?👍
@@rickskits no sir, the hand/eye coordination it requires left decades ago. I admire seeing models assembled as intended, with amazing final results. That's where you come in....
All Tamiya kits, indeed most all Japanese made kits fit well.

The Corsairs began dive-bombing missions across Peleliu, firing rockets into open cave entrances for the infantrymen, and dropping napalm" 👍👍

I really like the pre-shading on this Rick, I think that came out very well. I am tempted to get this but I do have the Matchbox Heinkel in the loft. Any way mate, well done on another cracking build. 👏👏👏👏
