Grown up people music
Grew up listening to this in my house 1970s. ❤❤. Saw her live in 2002. Finally got to take my mom!❤❤
This Cut is one of my FAVORITE'S, YES SIR!
This jam is the shiggidy! Michael , Michael, Michael! I love our local jazz station bc they play this song at night at least twice a week. Beautiful compliment to Roberta's vocals. ❤

This track is extraordinary, beautiful R.I.P good brother Michael!!!!!
❤This Jam
I’m still trying to understand just how Buddha Records did not release this as the first single. And also why this song wasn’t included on Roberta’s Blue Lights in the Basement album. It really should have been added to her album also. It was too good not to be. They could have made it a double single for the radio. This song is so full of yummy gems. There are so many points in this song that just stick out as stand out moments: the intro with the horns and Michael’s bass, the way Michael comes in at the beginning, Roberta holding that note on the first bridge: “Couuuuuullllllld we Michael”…that was a “Have mercy” moment. Michael hitting that bottom note. Yes Lawd! 🤗 Roberta bending and twisting the word “I” on “I wanna make up with you”. The two of them singing in unison before the last chorus. That harmony was BEAUTIFUL! Michael’s range is killer on this track, Roberta floating back and forth between lead and background vocals, blending in with Brenda White and Gwen Guthrie. I mean… they really put the STANK on this song. It was funky, sexy, and classy. And never get the credit they both truly deserve for it. People always discuss their other duets, which are amazing, BUT, put some respect on “At the Concert” because this song is absolutely delicious to the ears. Ear Candy indeed. 🤗💜💫✨🔥🔥🔥🤌🏾
Ray:: Bad -ass song for it’s time.
I had completely forgotten this song. Now I can't stop playing it.

This an Elite production all the way around!!
Vintage Rhythm & Blues!
This still 💕💕💕
When they simultaneously hit that high note- I live there.😁😉🖤🤎💯✊🏾
He is the most unappreciated artist, he had so many jams, his many voices, the way he say baby, his musicians, his melodies, his tones, the women he sing with, the story behind his songs, everything. He was sharp.
this man is a pure master and he was fine as hell !!!
💯
I love how u mentioned his beautiful voice and how he could go high & low this man was fine as hell he wrote & sang some of the baddest songs in the 80s I was a teen then but I grew up on the best I miss him rest in pure love & light the Great & forever Iconic Micheal Henderson ♥️♥️♥️🙏🙏🦋🦋😘
Unappreciated and underrated; his vocals were a masterclass in craftsmanship!
Wonderful job! This recording/mixed perfectly! This bird is feeling like flying....
THis my tune, song or jam and I am approaching my 397 earthday. They don't mek dem like me anymore STAR😁
Absolutely a classic, Michael Henderson and Roberta Flack gave a virtuoso performance in this song. The instrumentation was also superb !
Totally relevant for an 80's teenager.
RIP Michael Henderson🕊 And I was reading Roberta Flack been sick too 🙏🏽
❤️
Respect to the Michael Henderson family. He was a part of our cultural fabric if you will. He was always a favorite of mine. Infact, I was playing his music just weeks before his passing. Songs like this one were some of my first tastes of Smooth Jazz, also Ronnie Laws, Weather Report, Idris Muhammad, and George Duke...So nice and timeless.
RIP Michael Henderson
