For my first video of 2024, I'd like to celebrate my recent milestone of passing 500 subscribers! It's not a whole lot in the grand scheme of things, but for doing this as a hobby for 11 years, I'm proud and thankful nonetheless. I've seen other channels make update videos to explain absences or infrequent uploads, sometimes being after reaching a milestone as well. I've never thought to update...

I'd been meaning to make this for a while, so now was the perfect time with the remake coming out. This one was fun, and the samples were a challenge to implement. I stacked drumloops throughout, throwing away the original song's percussion. Matching the tempo of drumloops is always annoying. I had to include the surf guitar samples, but some of them have minor chords with no major alternatives...

No triple-whammy this Halloween, but this one fits the occassion more. While this is one of my least favorite FFVII songs, it sounds straight out of RE1, along with the moment it plays for.

This randomly popped into my head in the shower, and since I already made the DK64 remix for the Ekongelion video, I swapped out all the instruments from the project file. That version sounded pretty good considering it was based off a joke, but Mother 3 has the Guile's theme of soundfonts.

Just a little Mitsuda magic for y'all.

I had to use drumkits from Marvel vs. Capcom and Street Fighter Alpha 3 after realizing how small CotA's was. I'm no beatmaker, so arranging the percussion is always my least favorite part.

a.k.a. Sophisticated Flight This song is a little high-energy for a Spyro game, but the instruments fit perfectly, so I kept it faithful to the original.

I couldn't find the metal percussion sound from Weapons Factory in the soundfont I have, so I had to cut my losses. If I get an updated soundfont, I'll redo this.
