The economy under jaffar was so bad that even the palace itself was litteraly falling apart.

I used to play for hours with this game! Brings back a lot of memories from the old college days of the 90s. I never got past level 12 😭. Prince of Persia 2 was just as intense and fun!

What an archaic masterpiece, the game is definitely one of the best games of all time, still the sword plays, with all simplicity, is more satisfying and exhaustive than most of the current sword and gunplay, the ability you can parry your opponents and the presence of your deceitful should make this that full-bodied that even I sometime play this game and spend 30 minutes of my precious time to defeat Jaffar and save Sultan's daughter. A very huge thanks to Jordan Mechner and those who care about Persian rich culture and religion!

Used to draw maps to learn the levels. Game was hard even with out the time limit. Time limit made it infernal as kid. But with the maps won it at last.

Hardest game I ever played as a kid. I couldn't even pass the first level; just couldn't get a hang of the controls. Played it again today for the first time in decades and made it to the second level after a lot of frustration. So I decided to watch a playthrough to see what I was missing. Nope, not gonna try to finish this one! Brutal.

How do you swap sides with the guards while fighting?

Game of my childhood. When I was a little I never passed lv. 6, because I always didn't have enough time. (I had a version without quick saves or I didn't know I could save game) Today I downloaded version with quick saves and for first time I completed the game. (within 46 minutes)

this eas the hardest game.

For me and for my friends, there has always been one mystery associated with this game. On one of the last maps (33:30) a huge sword is clearly visible, lying at the top field of the map. Has anyone been able to pick it up and to use it?

This game used to give me creepy vibes. But still I loved it. Also I find the whole shadow thing super cool. Having to sheath your sword to "defeat" it is such a powerful moment. Amazing game.

The most frustrating game I've ever played, it was really difficult in controlling the character. Even my brother, who's really keen on gaming never made it past level 2!

Nice time. I'm surprised you chose not to get the health buff on LVL 9. It's probably the cheapest one in the game. Glad you showed me how to beat LVL 12. No idea what to do after mirror dude. That hidden path was unfair af, probably the only major blemish of the game

Finally seeing what's after the first guard having never found the sword and ultimately giving up when I was younger, I can not believe they were able to make such a complex game with what they had to make it with. wow. The mouse coming in to trigger the door? WHAT I would have been standing there and then thought the game froze for at least five minutes. Then the floating potion? and the mirror twin? wow. .

Glad I stopped at level 1. Most frustrating game ever?! Watching this video is fun though!

I played this with unlimited time and unlimited lives, never got through half of it.

I remember always trying to kill the guards so that their bodies held down pressure plates to keep doors open.
