I loved this video beacuse it's not just regrets, but ways you'll change your habit positively going forward! These area also great things for me to think about going forward since I've started journaling more seriously about 5 years ago now... I'm starting to amas a pretty big collection. I love the drawingone... I've started trying to do more little doodles in my notebooks.... of a new shirt i got or a character from a tv show I'm watching... like you said it's a fun thing to look back at that isn't just words, but still holds a memory of the time... I also think I may start doing favorites pages... I've seen other people do those but have never done one... but 5 years from now i won't remember what my favorite song at the moment is and it'd be fun to look back and see what i was listening to! Thanks so much for such a thought provoking video :)
I can't believe we live in an age where someone with an incredible insight of 25 years into anything much less everything and in this case journaling can be this accessible thank you so much!
Great video! I’ve kept a journal for 43 years, since I was 7. When I revisited journals from my 20s, I found many of the same issues you did. I wrote about what happened or how I felt, but rarely did I write about how I felt about what happened. I also like the practice of labeling my journal entries with what I’m eating, watching, reading, and listening to.
I will have to give the S2 a second chance. I got a pack a year or so ago and I felt like they wrote really scratchy. I will always be a G2 girl though! Thanks for the recommendations, I’ll have to find the pilot ones and give those a try. ❤
Such valuable messages! Appreciate your effort to truly help understand the essence of journaling
You're very welcome! Happy Journaling. 😊
This is a wonderful video. Very helpful information thank you! I recently left digital planning/journaling and I’m back to pen and paper. It feels amazing
I hate my past self so think I’ll get rid of most of mine. Can’t stand reading my past self. Especially as a teenager I was so cringe so they all were shredded and in the bin. I like that I’ll leave no trace. But will still journal for my mental health ❤
Dear lady, ever since I discovered your TH-cam channel, I have fallen in love with your operating system, or in other words, your way of thinking.
Printing photos for my journals is one of my favorite things to do. I started with my hp sprocket much like your cannon ivy it uses zink paper and has the sticky back so easy printing, I’ve learned how to make it so I can print 4 photos per sheet so even cost effective as well. Another way I love to print photos is by buying digital images from Etsy and uploading them to canva to resize them from there I save them to my device ( phone or iPad) and print using Avery Matte Sticker paper I purchase from Amazon, it comes in 8.5 x 11 sheets and I get more photos per page and then I cut them by hand, these stickers or photos I use melt into the page creating less bumpy surfaces to write on and the stickers because the paper is sticker from and clear melt into my page as if it were printed in the page itself. And because I use printable from Etsy I never run out of stickers, I can reuse the images over and over again with just one purchase so no storing stickers books or hoarding because I’m afraid to use my stickers up.
I usually write with fountain pens in my journals. I have so used the Unibal Signo dx, hobonichi brand pens, uniball pens muni and much more. I used the Pilot fir on back in 2017 and sadly I can’t recommend it, being that I live in a very hot and humid area of the world the ink can disappear and all of your journal entry will vanish, I was told to put it in the freezer and it will come back sadly it did not and for this reason, I won’t ever use a fir on pen again, my journals are much to precious for that kind of mishap. GA will always be hot and humid so that’s a risk I’m not willing to take. I also love using mildliners, and tombow brush pens for a pop of color on my pages. For archival purposes I occasionally use a pigma micron which is felt tipped but writes nicely on the Tomoe River Paper which is what I prefer to journal on. I enjoyed your video, I’m new to your channel, thanks for sharing your tips.
The top takeaway from this video is that journaling is a powerful tool for self-reflection and growth, and that it's never too late to start journaling. The video highlights the importance of capturing: Your true emotions and thoughts: Don't just write about schedules and to-do lists, but also explore your feelings and dreams. (4:07-4:34) Everyday details: Small things like what you ate or the weather can bring back vivid memories later. (9:14-9:38) Happy moments: Don't just focus on hard times; document the good moments in your life as well. (5:35-6:25) The speaker encourages viewers to journal regularly, even for just a few minutes each day, to make it a habit of self-reflection and personal growth. (9:41-10:13)
Wow, thank you!
The speaker suggests using colored pens to add variety and highlight important moments in your journal. (2:32-3:05) Here's why color can make a difference: Adds visual interest: Black ink can become monotonous, while colored pens can bring life to your pages. Highlights important events: You can use different colors to mark significant memories, emotions, or even different themes within your journal. Adds a personal touch: Choosing colors that resonate with you can make your journal more unique and expressive. The speaker isn't advocating for a rainbow of colors, just a few to break up the monotony and create visual interest. (2:55-3:05)
Oh wow 👍

Thank you! I did not want to watch the full video, and now I don't have to.
@@Mystic_phoenix1 You probably mean no harm, but if you found that helpful the best way to show gratitude to the person who actually made the video and provided that information would be to watch it...
i ordered my journal and now i will use these tips 🙌 great video !!
I'm so glad this video was helpful!
Thank you.
You are very welcome! 💕
I also consider writing with a pen, in a notebook, the few good ideas that illuminate my mind from time to time, a true and very precious gift that I give myself.
Dear lady, you are a very wise person, and this video is very profound, revitalizing, wise of course, but also underappreciated, if I look at the views and number of subscribers.
This channel has too little followers! What you say is very interesting ❤
I don't journal that much and I only have one little pocket notebook, but I love it so much. I only use it to write about my mental struggles or to practice gratitude. I use washi dot stickers to highlight the most important entries. Your tip about writing about people in more detail is so useful because I always forget as well, thinking that I'll remember it later. I want to try to remind myself to do that.
This concept is simple and it surely works. I appreciate that you highlighted the power of finding the proper motivation to finish reading, without getting bogged down with the details... you can always go back to find them once finished reading. Thank you for sharing this by means of your experiences, it helps to understand the concept and its effectiveness
Congratulations, the algorithm has found you ✨
Girl's been journaling since she was born. Seriously you look so young :-)
Thank u for sharing these lessons!!
i’m currently only 18, and i have a few journals (around 7-8), but most of my previous ones were inconsistent as most of the time i was lazy to write in them. i’m trying to be a lot more consistent now, and it makes me happy that when i flip through my more recent journals, i can look back and see all the emotions i felt; negative stuff, positive stuff - even if it’s the tiniest of them all. i haven’t gone through the video yet, but i aspire to be like you (and many of the other commenters!) to be one who has many journals 😊❤❤
I am so happy for you. Happy Journaling ❤️
Thank you for posting this video - it's really helpful! I didn’t know about mini printers until I watched it. I'm thinking of starting a journal and adding photos, and this video has been a great help. Please keep posting more videos like this - they're very useful! Thank you, Info360-Canada
You’re welcome! I’m so glad it was helpful. 😊
Thank you for sharing. I will keep in mind these tips. I believe it will make my Journaling better. 😊
I am almost 57 years old. I have kept journals since I was in 8th grade! I have around 90 of them! There are times I have missed for months writing in them and I regret that so much. I may go back and somehow put in all the photos and memorabilia from my life. I have mostly used composition books and decorate the covers. I do add decorations, photos, washi tape and all kinds of memorabilia now.
That is so wonderful and precious story. Thank you for sharing. ❤️
All are very good ideas. I have been for years and have done my best to include all this, but not as much as I should sometimes. I journal every day and I go through different ways to do so. I've done written journals, digitally typing my journaling (then print and decorate and put typed journaling on my pages) But, I sometimes forget to include more things of my day. Thank you for reminding me!
I wrote journals for years and then when I ‘rediscovered’ them when clearing out things, I realized how petty and insignificant they were so I burnt them up. Now I journal with more purpose… about daily life, thoughts, events and in re-reading them I think they have more interest than my earlier works… now up in smoke…
I used to avoid journaling about current events, because I didn't want anything too political in my journals. But when I wanted to go back and see what I thought on the day of 911, for example, I could not find much. So now, I make note of my thoughts on current events (when I do have strong thoughts or feelings).
I agree. I don’t have entry of 911 either but still remember that day vividly.
It's really nice to stumble upon your channel. I've been journaling since I was in elementary school. Though sadly, some are lost and it's not very consistent. But now, I am consistent and write everyday. Journaling helps me learn and express myself well
Such a great video! Thank you for sharing 😊
I go to photo center to print out my photos. I have a rings planner (similar to filofax-type) so i just punch holes into the pictures and stick them into my journal. I like to flip through them especially after big event where i took lots of photos. Sometimes ill also stick them to my pages with double-sided tape. But I will admit waiting for them and making a trip to the photocenter is a bit inconvenient. But it is the most cost-effective solution as the paper in these mini printers is very expensive where i live. But I'd love to try mini printer one day. It looks fun 😆Thank you for the great video 💖
I m going to start journalling seriously from 2025. I will be 25yrs old. And i want to start this jubilee new. But i m worried abt my family reading my journals prematurely or secretly or before my death. Its like yeah i m honest but not ant family who r main source of my problems. So i feel like using ipad will be safer. But then i cant use it everywhere. Very small pocket notebooks i dont like. I go throught them like 1 a week Idk what to do. I want soemthing on me all time. Small enough to carry everywhere. But has infinite space. Can do colourful ink and photos too. Goodnotes on iphone? Can it use apple pencil?
Thank you for sharing. Ultimately my life is key and the most precious and my life is the only thing I can control. So, I would not worry too much about anyone seeing my journals. I did have same worries, but now I say ‘so what?’. The journey to find power within me is powerful than anything else outside. Let’s enjoy every step of our journey. 🙏
@ u r right. So what? I mean what they gonna do? Know abt me. Scold me maybe. Ask me. Ask me to leave it. If anything if they love me they might even give advice.
I understand your worry about your family reading your journal if they are the main source of your problems. If you write about your problems with them and they read it, it might cause even more problems. You can use your phone to keep a journal instead, but then you might only be able to type but you can put a password on the notes so only you can read it. And you can also add pictures and different colors text to the notes.
@ yeah i think phone will be best. But then there is no guarantee abt long term keeping. It might get deleted or wiped off. So... idk if i should even bother. Maybe something little whenever i like for fun. Idk. I reslly want to but odds are against me
@@Thisismebutme2.0 That is true. You could save your notes on a USB flash drive at some point, but I'm not sure if you can password protect it so that your family can't read it. But it might be your best option.
Today i was drawn in by your channel and your honesty. Please never delete this channel and your wisdom! Good luck and thank you!!
Thank you! Yes! I will continue! 💕
I will try the canon ivy printer. I own the HP sprocket and love it. Basically all the same features; adhesive zink photos, print from my phone, 2x3 size.
Love this video. Thank you for sharing! My regret is not starting journaling sooner! I’m 37 and just starting. But it’s been so good to write it all down every evening.
I am so glad you decided to start! It's never too late. :)
I love this idea ! 🎉
Very thoughtful examination of the powerful aspects of journaling.
Love the video! Some of the tips were very helpful!
Glad it was helpful!
This was a nice treasure to find on youtube
I like to write with simple black or blue pen. Old journals of classic writers and famous people were all written like a wall of text and I love how it makes you want to read it. They had some doodles and drawings in there, but it's all one ink pen.
Very nice video and true. I subscribed 😊
Invaluable info and suggestions that come from actual experience! I love it. 💛
These are actually great tips!
This is great, I junk journal and need to get better at using them instead of just making them. I love a filled journal but often don't take the time.
Thank you so much for this video and sharing your wisdom with us. This was such a helpful and inspiring video
Really enjoyed this. #7 was definitely relatable. I find I tend to focus on negatives way more than positives and that makes me not want to re-read anything I'd written in the post. So these past few months, I'd been making an effort to include more of those lighter moments and moments I might appreciate more when I look back on them later
