I believe he didn't show the lights working BECAUSE THEY PROBABLY DON'T WORK AS-IS ! I don't what model trim light he has, but the cup holder trim light from CARTRIMHOME needs only a single power-tap cable. Newer cup holder lights DO NOT have or need that extra electronics box. The OEM cable feeds the AUX 12V power port in the center console storage box. The newer style lights probably run directly off the 12V power feed rather than 5V (needed for USB port power) . The console box USB ports have their own power regulator built into the USB module that attaches to the front of the console storage box.
