This is Phylis's Vocal tur deforce. It could touch anybody I wish her mic 🎙️ was up louder and the piano 🎹 playing was it little softer. Of course the bridge was added to the recording ,which really impacted the emotional punch of the song. This & Old friend are my favorite songs from her. Of course I love practically every song she sang. What a unique & beautifully haunting voice.

Thank you for uploading these videos of Phyllis. You know, of all the singers that i have come across in my 40 years of life, no one has captured my heart quite the way that Phyllis has. She is my favorite artist by a clear mile. I never got to see her in person, but when I watch these videos and hear her timeless voice, I can then feel her spirit. What an amazingly talented and beautiful being she was. I feel so sorry for the pain she endured in this lifetime. But I'm so grateful that she used her pain to cultivate her gift so that we can enjoy something truly beautiful in this dark world. I love you Phyllis and thank you for your sacrifice. You are appreciated.

If she can hear how horrific rap lyrics have become these days, she'll be sad. If she can see how in shambles the music industry is today, she'll be the saddest.
