Actually Origins, the first game, had great writting from true masters of the industry, the world building was second to none with old Bioware. The writing on Veilguard, to quote Skillup: 'Every conversation feels like HR is in the room'. I could not put it better myself. To create something on the scale of a AAA video game with tens of millions in budget, hundreds of people and years of development you have to risk offending someone, because that is art. Expression is offensive, expression is art. By trying to be inoffensive, they just come off as bland, shallow and devoid of life. A far cry from what Bioware once was.

Fucking hell. Is there even one likeable companion in the game? The Necroprancer, the "quirky" asian elf, the they/them Quanri. They all look terrible. Scout Harding looks ok but the romance scene was kind of cringey.

You have to get through so many layers of Ubisoft nonsense before you get to the point of buying Ubisoft NFTs that I don't think it's a problem. If they liked it, they liked it. Biowares two recent games weren't good but like, but otherwise it's a studio that's made a lot of classic RPG games since before you were born.

Genuinely why does it matter? You yourself haven’t played the game your just saying it’s not a 9 based off gameplay and general word of mouth I assume. Is IGN corrupt or something because they gave a game you don’t like a high score? They’ve been this way for as long as they existed(God Hand 3/10). People have different taste and like different things including the people working at IGN.
