It's OK, you can accidentally turn the page especially in PDFs, the notebooks are better especially if you adjust the page turn settings to swipe instead of tap. It feels fine on the hand though, smooth.

No, it doesn't create the feel of paper, but the stylus tip is fairly soft so it doesn't feel like writing on glass like it does with most tablets. Still takes a bit of getting used to.

I have not figured out any way to do it yet, you can export highlights (that is the typed notes) and you can save PDFs with full stylus annotations (Dropbox does this automatically as it is a PDF file feature) but e-pub files do not have any capacity to store this information. There may be some more tech savvy people out there that can figure something out? It needs a screenshot function really, sadly it is lacking at the moment.

@ReadRe-sellRepeat Everytime you take a stylus annotation, the device takes a screenshot and couples two files: a jpg and an svg, one for the text and one for the scribble. It then overlays the svg on the jpg to show the annotation. I can see the files in the ".kobo/markups/" folder but there is no automatic way (yet) to export these

I have not had to charge mine yet! It has an orange low battery warning light though, so it won't just suddenly stop working and it charged very quickly from empty when I first got it. So far I have used it most days for at least 30 mins for about 3 weeks 👍

The padlock symbol in the notes page stops the page from auto rotating, you can set it to portrait, landscape or auto. If you set the page turn to swipe instead of tap it minimises risk of page turning accidentally. Yes, I am set up with Libby, mentioned that in my previous Kobo unboxing video. I listen to audio books from the library on my phone too. I guess you can't save any notes written in a library book once it is returned? But you could simply make notes separately on the device to keep. Hope you enjoy your new Kobo! I am getting lots of use out of mine 👍

Alas, I have already purchased the stylus, but that is good to know if it ever needs replacing. I will be sure to mention it in my follow up video. I had no idea you could connect a Bluetooth keyboard, that's amazing! Thanks for the info! Do you know if you can add more note templates? I have only been able to add PDFs to use as forms so far. Still experimenting 😊

In March 2021 the publisher decided to stop publishing six of the Dr Seuss books because of "racially insensitive imagery" and eBay took the decision to remove them from sale as well. They might go under the radar in a bundle but it's not worth the risk. I think if you try to sell them individually eBay removes the listing and tells you they are restricted/banned items. I think a few other books are restricted too but I haven't been able to actually find a list on the eBay site.

Yeah, I read something about it being a faery tale retelling of sorts. So much to read though! Never thought about selling on Amazon, I am very small scale, mostly just selling the books I have read to clear space for more books 😂

I think "lightning" was my favourite Dean Koontz book, not sure if he wrote it before the first terminator film, but I definitely read it first.

No, it is not acceptable. If there were any book swaps or community libraries near me I would use them in the way they were intended - BORROW and return the book after reading along with some extras from my collection to encourage the service and keep it going. I only buy books from charity shops and car boot sales paying the asking price. Maybe a sign stating books are for borrowing and requesting a return after reading would help?

I just had another thought... Write the community library's name in the front of the book (or better yet on the cover) with details of the book swap. Writing in books decreases the re-sale value and it would be very difficult to re-sell a book with a community library name on the cover!

Yes Evri is cheaper for 2-5kg and the size of package is less restrictive as well. Weirdly Evri is also cheaper for 0-1kg since the Royal mail increased their prices. So RM tracked for either large letter or 1-2kg shoebox. I only use tracked services for eBay, it is worth paying the little extra. It is also a better price when purchased through eBay rather than buying direct.

No, I rarely see HB Steven King, actually don't see PB very often either, so maybe they just aren't on my radar. I did manage to find a box set of the dark tower in PB (can't remember if that was before I started making haul videos). I really enjoyed the first one when I read it years ago and am looking forward to reading it again and continuing the series. Let me know how you get on 😃
