PART 2- First Time Horse Owners Journey: Building Trust Through Groundwork
I have a horse that always raises his head high when I want to bridle him. Do you have any advice to fix that?
Excellent question David First, we wanna make sure your horse wants to put his head down so we don’t have to make them put their head down I push and pull their head left and right until they soften down a little bit and then do it again won’t be long at all when you push on them they will go down instead of up Feel free to reach out in our email as well if you would like
@beechyhorsemanshipllc52 thank you Levi!

Thank You for another great informational video❤
Wow she is looking awesome
Would I do the same way to the back leg even if she is trying to kick? Do you have a video for a horse wanting to kick as you pick up a back foot ?
Hey Tammy, Take a longer lead rope hold both ends of it and make a loop and just walk your horse forward into it then tighten up.

THIS!!! Felt like my mare has been just bracing against me, found this awesome video and this is totally what she needed!!!! She really braced me on the ground too and then when she FINALLY started to put her head down and she realized the pressure came off worked wonders. Thank you so much, this was amazing!

Belle is really advancing well, great job Levi
What a beautiful Thoroughbred! He looks like he comes from good bloodlines, such nice bone. Great find!
His father is exaggerator and grand sire curlin both very well known in the race business. Unfortunately we are still having issues with him but holding on to hope that he will get better in another year and calm down some.
Wow, I am a HUGE Curlin fan, good for you! Best of luck with his training! @@aprilsassin4572
Your doing such a amazing job with my daughters boy emmett!!! Thank you so much!!!
Thx for the video. I love the calm demeanor of the guy
Abuse!
?
Seriously?
@@aronalvord This is a THOROUGHBRED sold to a not so compent owner so there it goes downhill. NO Horses shall be lounged on such a SMALL Circle. A Long body and 4 legs. The horse is not Used to thsi BS treatment. Cowboy style. We in galopp or showjumpoing, dressage etc dont treat our Horses like this. They have to learn their New sport and You do t abuse them to do so, but Train them carefully.. Horses are NOT PREDATORS.
This selfmade wannbee dont know how Horses works. Veterinarian Knows that Horses has to look outwards when You lounged on a too SMALL CIRCLE. Thats how they check for abnormalities/injuries. This THOROUGHBRED Will get an Ulcer from this Stress. This guys Knows Nothing of that either.
Sounds like you visit the barn a lot! Many track horses are treated poorly especially if not winning, in your observation did you take that into consideration. Or are you more pro meat truck cuz they end up there more often than not 💔
He is used to be treated by proffesionals that dont interpret them totally wrong. Not the cowboy style.
Lol. That's funny... I've seen "professionals" at the track... Levi is much kinder and knows how to handle a horse... you?
How do you know anything about my horse? My daughter has been riding since I was pregnant with her 15 years of riding she rides every discipline. Emmett is loved and very well cared for and super spoiled. His behavior ended up being from ulcers that never fully healed he is on rest for now until he is healed. I've put 12 grand into this horse with the best trainers, vets and people caring for him. Don't comment about my horse again!
@@aprilsassin4572 I know how to read Horses and there are much better ways. Give The horse Gastroguard and PC and he Will be fine in a week. They dont get nasty in a few weeks. Yes women often spoil them and then they get behaviour issues. Consistancy is the Key. Good luck.
Excellent job!! Miss you guys!!
Thanks Levi! You rock!
Cute little mare
quit the donuts and bend down
Soo.... he could possibly be kicking in the face?
Belle is a beauty
Yes, many make that mistake. Same with the water hose when ther want to give their horse a bath. Thanks for the video! 🖒
Thanks for the video
