Okay...Total nerd here. I listened to the entire lesson and am happy to say I agree with the way you taught EVERYTHING! However, Tom and i were taught NOT to use FUN as an adjective, as you did in the second sentence of the video. I think we all had an argument about that sometime in the past...if not with you then with your mom:) Well done!

Dr. Cox wasn't wrong though and frankly Mr. Gorman wasn't in a position to be teaching this lesson. He has wasted much time and resources that could have been better used on patients with actual conditions. The fact the he really had something this time, something he wasn't even there for since it was too soon to even have symptoms, doesn't change the fact that if you cry wolf too many times, no one is going to take you seriously when it is real. And he wasn't some chronically sick patient who is frequently there, but always with a legitimate illness. If anything Dr. Cox should have referred Mr. Gorman for a psyche eval.

because of extremely bad diet and exercise/lifestyle i gave myself diabetes during my mid to late 30s. I turned 40 and with good diet and lite but daily exercise I got rid of it. Some give me credit for not being a diabetic anymore but I think my bad choices led me their in the 1st place, its not like i was born with it/its genetic.

This was Cox’s telling J.D he loved him. As J.D would of known if the answer was no. He would have gone on a 5 minute rant. But because he knows him. He knows cox won’t say anything remotely emotional connecting to him other then anger 😂.

Except that psychiatry IS also a ''medicine side'' which requires knowing how body systems and brain work, what chemincal/hormonal imbalance and neural transmitters malfunction can lead to etcetera. Also, being psychiatrist is not just guessing people's insecurities or spouting platitudes. She was portrayed more as a therapist/analysit as opposed to a psychiatrist she was supposed to be. LOVE Scrubs but I think writers confused psychiatry with psychology here which only contributes to stigma.
